Ever relatable and adorkable — and prone to tripping — Jennifer Lawrence is one star we figure is probably just a whole lot of laughs on vacation. So while, in a fantasy scenario, it would be fun to travel with her — if we ever got that chance IRL, we'd just want to make it a road trip.
That's because J-Law doesn't handle airplane flights very well — and that's a self description that comes right from the Oscar winner.
She told Entertainment Weekly that she has a serious fear of flying — and it manifests in ways that would make her a very scary seat mate indeed.
"I’m not afraid of the airplane, I’m afraid of me on the airplane and losing control of myself," she said in the interview. And yeah, it's actually happened.
“You know when they hit an air pocket and it feels like you’re falling?" she told EW. "I did it on a night flight one time, ‘We’re going down! It’s coming down!"
And one time she actually acted on her fear beyond just the shouting: Intense claustrophobia once caused her to try to jump out of an Air France plane in flight.
"I can’t believe I didn’t get arrested,” she said. “I got really claustrophobic and I had to get out."
It's not clear exactly which thing came first here — the fear or a very reasonable cause for it — but back in June, she was flying on a private aircraft when engine failure forced it to make an emergency landing.
