Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Get Steamy for Their First Couple's Magazine Cover

Let's face it: J-Rod has major newsstand appeal.

It's a good day for magazine junkies when a couple of gorgeous lovebirds land their first joint cover. And on Tuesday, October 31, Vanity Fair offered J-Rod fans a major Halloween treat: the glossy announced that the pair will grace its December cover.

VF also published a sneak peek at the cover story, which delves into Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's epic love story. Lopez initially met Rodriguez when her then-husband Marc Anthony threw out the first pitch at a Yankees game in 2005. Some 12 years later, Lopez spotted the former Yankees shortstop at a Beverly Hills restaurant.

Lopez tapped Rodriguez on the shoulder, and he turned around to find the On The Floor singer in an uncharacteristic look. “I had just come from a promo for my show, Shades of Blue, so I’m dressed like my [detective] character, like a boy — Timberlands, jeans, curly short hair. He looks at me. I say, ‘It’s Jennifer.’ He says, ‘You look so beautiful.’” Aww!

Just hours later, the baseball legend called the superstar to set up a date, and the rest is history. "We are very much twins,” Rodriguez said of himself and Lopez. “We’re both Leos; we’re both from New York; we’re both Latino and about 20 other things.”

The pair also looks good together, which no one can deny. (When your first public appearance as a couple is at the Met Gala, after all, you know stylish things are in store.) We can't wait to see all the photos in Vanity Fair's surely gorgeous December spread, and are definitely adding the issue to our holiday wish list. OK, so, we're also kind of hoping this couple gets engaged over the holidays. But, we don't want to overwhelm Santa.
