Following Julianne Hough's recent wedding to Canadian hockey player Brooks Laich in Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho (a beloved spot for family outings when she was a kid, and where the pair plans to settle down), the couple have journeyed all the way to Kenya for an epic honeymoon adventure.
Their stay at the Angama Mara safari lodge is plucked straight out of the romance pages of Meryl Streep and Robert Redford's '80s movie Out of Africa, which was filmed partially on site.
Angama Mara, which opened in June 2015, features 15 tented and glass-fronted luxury suites that offer views of hot air balloons breezing past on the daily. Guests can choose to fly high in the sky on one as well.
Property amenities include private al fresco couples massages and private picnics where you have to radio back to be picked up.
Angama Mara overlooks the Maasai Mara game reserve...
...which was just the gathering place for millions of wildebeest and zebras on their annual Great Migration, which Julianne and Brooks got to witness.
Julianne and Brooks started their honeymoon on the private Fregate Island in the Seychelles, where they sailed — and remained accountable to their physiques — with a couples workout on the beach.
Congratulations to the happy couple in paradise!
