After leaving Sydney yesterday, model Karlie Kloss found herself in a situation familiar to many jet setters: a layover that's too long to be filled merely with a bit of duty-free shopping and a croissant, but too short to really get out into the world. Or was it?
"What's a girl to do with a 6-hour layover in Honolulu?" she asked fans rhetorically, as a caption to an Instagram shot of her wearing a rash guard and visor on a beautiful beach called Sandy Park in Honolulu, Hawaii. "Grab a coffee, buy a boogie board/tacky visor/souvenir towel and go to the nearest beach ASAP."
Fearing no short six-hour window to catch her next plane, she made an outing of it — and it's easy to see why when you're in a place as beautiful as Hawaii.
She posed with her boogie board and sunglasses in another beachfront photo, writing, "This beats the airport lounge any day!"
It's hard to argue with that — and we wouldn't try. That said, we do love an over-the-top fabulous airport lounge experience any day of the week.
