Kate Hudson's Next Hairstyle May Be Even More Shocking Than Her Buzz Cut

It certainly worked for Wayne and Garth.

Kate Hudson has been getting lots of buzz for her, um, buzz cut. (Seems logical.) The actress recently shaved off her golden locks for a new project, and obviously looks stunning with her new style. It's Kate Hudson, after all — come on! But, just when we were getting used to the edgy new look, Kate has plans for something new.

Appearing on The Ellen Degeneres Show earlier this week, Hudson wore a bright green top and a brighter smile. The actress dished about the upcoming project that made her go under the shears — it's a musical written and directed by singer-songwriter Sia — and also told the audience what it's like to live with a buzz cut.

Now that Hudson's dome is no longer completely shaved, Degeneres asked the tough questions: "Is it itchy growing back in?" The actress shared that it's not itchy (phew!), but: "I'm starting to go through the first awkward stage of the growing-out. It's sticking up, and I have to put it down with product." #BuzzCutProblems.

As her hair continues to grow out, Hudson has put some thought into which style will come next. And, she's toying with the idea of venturing into territory we've seen in Wayne's World. Any guesses?

That's right: "I was thinking [about] bringing the mullet back," she said. "I've been kind of off my Snapchat game, but I think if I had a mullet I'd be really on my Snapchat game. It would be really good for my social media presence," Hudson laughed.

We'll be over here, constantly refreshing our feed as Hudson's hair grows out. Until then, watch the cute Ellen clip below:
