Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is single and ready to mingle. Specifically, she's traveling solo to the Netherlands on a one-day trip without hubby Prince William. It’s the first time she’s traveled abroad on official royal business without William.
While in the Netherlands, Kate met and mingled with King Willem Alexander for lunch. The dined at Villa Eikenhorst, which is the the royal residence where the Dutch monarch lives with Queen Maxima and their three daughters.
In addition to looking lovely in a powder blue belted suit, Kate could also have an important impact on European politics through her visit: Royal commentators say she will be a diplomatic benefit to the U.K. as it manages relationships with European Union nations following Brexit in the months and years to come.
Kate's trip also includes a tour of the Mauritshuis museum in the Hague, and hosting duties for a roundtable discussion supporting charities.
The visit comes just a week after the royal family's tour of Canada, during which Kate famously couldn't help but bat her lashes and flip that famous hair in the presence of hot Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.
