Almost immediately after she was tied up and robbed of $11 million in jewels in Paris, Kim Kardashian flew back to New York amid presidential-level security. She'd been staying with husband Kanye West and the family in a $25 million penthouse provided by Airbnb during their fall stint in the Big Apple.
But just days later, they've changed locations again, fleeing New York this time with children North and Saint for Kim's hometown of Los Angeles. According to a source cited in Us Weekly, the family left on Thursday with "several security guards with them and only... two SUVs to take them to the airport." The source said the family flew private to L.A.
An additional source told Us that Kim "feels safer in L.A. and wants to be home with her family."
When the jet landed at Van Nuys airport in Los Angeles later Thursday, Kim emerged carrying Saint, as Kris Jenner carried North. As for Kanye, a source told People: "Kim is happy to return home with the kids. Kanye is coming back to L.A. and then resuming his tour tomorrow while his family stays in L.A."
Meanwhile, Kim has vowed to keep her wealth more private, and is not working for the immediate future. As for the reality show that cemented her fame, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, "No decision has been made as to when production will resume," a rep for E! told Us.
