Kristin Cavallari Just Made a "Tough Decision" About Her Jewelry Line
She's stepping away from the business that made her feel "restricted."
We first met her as the most stylish teenager Laguna Beach had ever seen—and Kristin Cavallari has been synonymous with fashion ever since. The author of Balancing in Heels is a shoe designer, and was also one half of the creative team behind Emerald Duv. The jewelry collection—which Kristin launched in 2015 with pal Chelsea Bulte—put out easy styles that captured the bohemian spirit of the quintessential Cali girl. But now, Kristin is stepping away from the project.
In an Instagram message she posted earlier this week, the designer admitted that she'd made a tough decision—and didn't mince any words in the ensuing explanation. "I've decided to leave Emerald Duv," Kristin told fans in the revealing note. "I felt as though I could never take the company where I wanted to go and felt restricted in everything I wanted to accomplish. I've decided to launch my own jewelry line, and since I was solely designing the past collections at Emerald Duv, it will have a similar aesthetic: effortless, timeless, and refined."
We can't wait to see what's next for Kristin's line, but we'll have to wait for now. "I'm hoping to have my new line launched by April but stay tuned!!," Kristin wrote. And till then, it looks like the best is yet to come.
