Enlightened Lindsay Lohan Is Now Writing A Self-Help Book

The actress is now a wise old owl who wants to give us advice.

Lindsay Lohan, currently living in London and engaged to Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov, is writing a book about “overcoming obstacles.”

The former wild child actress says she is in a much better place now and she’s ready to tell others how to get there too.

“I am in the process of writing a book, and I am very excited to share my personal experiences in life and how to overcome obstacles,” she tells Vanity Fair. “I hope that my words will connect with those who need some guidance when [or] if they are in a tough place. I am grateful that I have a voice, which I can now feel comfortable using as a platform to let people know that we all have ups and downs in life, and we can all come up from the downs if we get in touch with our inner self and spiritual side.”

Lindsay, who turns 30 on July 2, has had a rough go of it over the past decade. In and out of rehab seven times, she was also arrested for drunk driving, reckless driving and shoplifting. She went to prison for a short stay and was often spotted showing off without undergarments.

“I can’t turn back time,” Lindsay said. “But if I could, I would have listened more to my mother and gone back to N.Y.C. earlier in life and chosen my friends more wisely.”

As for the future she looking forward to still traveling, and “sharing my love with someone special, meditation, being happy with good people around me, [and] spending time with my family.”

“Making more films, writing my book, starting my charity, working with children a lot,” she added. “Maybe having some of my own soon—after I get some movies done, first.”

She didn’t reveal any plans for her upcoming wedding, but she will celebrate turning 30 on Saturday with a blowout bash in Greece thrown by Egor.

Life seems good for Lindsay Lohan right now, a fact she affirms in this interview conducted over e-mail with Vanity Fair. In it, the actress reflects on her life thus far, and what she hopes the next decade will hold (children, a book, and more).

On turning 30, she says, “I feel great! Age is only a number, right? I have learned a lot over time. I am in a wonderful place in life and look forward to the near and far future and projects that I am working on.”
