The Rolling Stones don’t rest on or off stage.
First Ronnie Wood became a father to twins at 68, and now 72-year-old Mick Jagger is expecting a child with his 29-year-old ballerina girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick.
The duo have been dating since 2014, and this will be child number eight for the frontman and the first for his girlfriend.
A source told The Sun, that Mick’s cool with becoming a dad again, but is he ever anything but cool?
“He’s been incredibly supportive” and “They are taking the news in their stride,” a source said of the pregnancy.
Melanie plans to retire from dance and settle down in either Los Angeles or in Connecticut near her family, added the source.
“Melanie is very American and doesn’t want to move to London, even though they’ve been seeing each other regularly over a long period of time now,” the source said. “Mick likes the arrangement they have and doesn’t want to be in another formal relationship. The most important thing is how much he loves his children and he has great relations with them. He will support and love this child.”
In 1970, Mick had his first baby, Karis, now 46, with Marsha Hunt. His second daughter, whom he had with Bianca Jagger, Jade, now 44, was born in 1971. Next up, he had four children with Jerry Hall, Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel. In 1999 his son Lucas, 17, was born—that was from a fling with Luciana Gimenez.
