Miranda Kerr showed off her new engagement ring from Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, who popped the question to the supermodel after a year of dating.
The 26-year-old tech mogul has good taste, as the supermodel showed of the sparkler on Instagram, captioning it “ I said yes!!!”
Evan, who founded Snapchat while a student at Stanford, is estimated to be worth $2.1billion according to Forbes.
The two came out as a couple in June 2015. They had met a year earlier in New York at a private Louis Vuitton dinner.
The 33-year-old Victoria's Secret beauty says the two were friends at first before they hooked up. “We were really good friends for a long time before we started dating,” she admitted when they got together, saying she waited six months before she introduced Evan to her five-year-old son Flynn, whose father is Orlando Bloom.
This will be the second marriage for Miranda, who was married to Orlando for three years, before splitting in 2013. She’s admitted that the divorce was hard on her, telling Net-A-Porter's The Edit, “we all have bad days and negative emotions.”
“But I've realized it's important to sit with it and let it pass, and if it doesn't pass, choose a thought that will help it pass. Focus on what it is that you're grateful for. Having perspective is key,” she says. “I always look for the best in every situation, no matter what it is. Even if it's something that's sad, upsetting or disappointing at the time, I think, 'There's a reason for this.’”
