Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation Got 60 (!!!) Dogs Adopted at CMAFest

“All things are possible with dogs and country music.” – Miranda Lambert

Confession: We are obsessed with country superstar Miranda Lambert. Not just because she sings songs like “Vice” that penetrate deep into our very soul, but because she is also one of the biggest celebrity animal advocates on God’s green earth.

Not only does Miranda have seven rescue dogs, four rescue cats, five rescue horses, and two rescue mini horses of her own (“If any animal needs a place, they can stay here,” she has said), but she also focuses the lion’s share of her spare time on the non-profit rescue that she founded in 2009 with her mom, MuttNation Foundation.

MuttNation Foundation is a donation-backed organization with a mission is to end animal cruelty, neglect, and homelessness, while supporting other organizations that build animal shelters, and fund spay/neuter programs (among too many other purposes to name!). In 2014, MuttNation Foundation opened Redemption Ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma—five acres of safe haven for animals in need.

Miranda has been using her platform to not only raise awareness and donations but to get animals adopted in real time. She’s hosted countless events and benefit concerts in the name of animal rescue, and most recently held a MuttNation Foundation adoption drive at Country Music Awards Fest 2017—where 60 (!!!) dogs were adopted into loving homes.

Here are some adorable, touching, videos from the hugely successful event, all soundtracked by Miranda’s amazing music, natch!

What a weekend! 60 dogs found homes at @MuttNationFoundation's adoption drive at #CMAfest this year! #LoveAShelterPet
