By the way, what was with Alessandra Stanley's "Appreciation" of Farrah in the New York Times last Friday? It was actually MEAN. She kept repeating over and over that it wasn't so much what Farrah DID, it's what she TRIED to do...and that she just kept TRYING. Yo Alessandra, why didn't you TRY to write kind of a NICE piece about a beloved dead lady?

Last Friday was the final collection showing of "The Fashion Show" and I will clue you in on that domani, ok? In the meantime I had a great beachy weekend and then hightailed it to town to attend the parade of gays with Bruce and his daughter yesterday and here's some of what I saw.....

I was swarmed at one point by 4 incarnations of Drag Madonnas....

And here are the Madonna's from the back. Which is their better side, do you think?

OMG! Can You Feel It is one of my favorite MJ songs. I also adore the Jackson 5 Christmas Album. It was given to me by my parents the year it came out (I was 9) so I could have a Christmas album like the grown ups!! I wish he had known what beautiful memories his soundtrack to our lives created. P.S. Andy, Real Housewives is my guilty pleasure. You're my favorite part of the Reunion shows. You really call them on the carpet for their nonsense!!

I could not agree more about Stanley's article in the NYT on Farrah Fawcett. It was catty and passive aggressive!

Farrah is an icon to be remembered. :)

You're great, Andy! I'm a huge fan of RHONJ, though Danielle seems like she needs serious psychological help. I kind of hope Bravo takes her off the show just so she can actually get better instead of keep milking her 15 minutes. It's awful to watch her.

Love all of the other women though, and enjoyed your blog about your dinner with them at Il Cantinori!

Andy..love the pics from Pride. I have been trying to ignore the MJ stuff all weekend by trying to find the Farrah Fawcett tributes. Somehow, the Barbara Walters special was pre empted in Vegas until Sunday afternoon, when I caught the final 20 mins with Babs interviewing Ryan O'Neal, Jacklyn Smith, and Farrah's doctor. It was incredibly sad watching them, but made me realize that she toughed a lot of people with here strength and determination.
In other topic..havent done pride in NYC in almost 10 years. now I don't know If I can do the crowds or walk 40 blocks down 5th av like I did before. Do know you looked fab in your blue t-shirt with all the Madonnas. And don't we all love Marissa Janet Winokur!!Go Tracy!

"I am afraid we'll have suspenderman speculating about MJ minutia for 18 months, or at least until the news nets discover the next abducted little aryan girl to obsess."

Who, knew you were so funny? And so...Buddha like, in pointing out such divine universal truths.

I agree with you about Michael too...maybe he wasn't meant to grow old. I am just sad that he didn't get to put on his farewell show, before he died....or come out.

Yikes don't kill me.

Anyway, He touched a generation, or several generations through his music and dance, Let us hope indeed that we can forget his eccentricities, and remember fondly how he moved us.

Keep up the great commentary Andy. I can't express how refreshing I find you, and your ability to cut through the BS.

Don't always read your blogs, don't always find them interesting but enjoyed this one. I like it when you tell it like it is. Honesty without being mean is definitely the way to go.
