10 Most Instagrammed Luxury Hotels in the World in 2016

How many have you been to?

These days, the old tree-falling-in-the-forest question might as well be reframed as: Did your vacation even happen if you didn't share it on Instagram? Luxury hotels the world over — with their soaring lobbies, over-the-top decor, and perfectly places vignettes — are just crying out for social media attention as soon as guests walk in the door. According to Bloomberg, here are the 10 most Instagrammed luxury properties in the world for 2016.

1.  The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

With its dramatic balcony views over the Bellagio lake and its cheeky, arty decor — not to mention a bar that takes the form of a multistory chandelier, the No. 1 hotel on the list is a top-to-bottom social media gold mine.

2.  Atlantis, The Palm — Dubai

Yes, this was the larger-than-life destination for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Dubai trip! Think Signature Suites including the iconic Royal Bridge Suite, priced at $35,000 per night, a 924-square-meter three-bedroom suite that spans the distance between the resort’s two accommodation towers. The Underwater Suite has floor-to-ceiling views from the master bedroom directly into the Ambassador Lagoon aquarium, which gives the illusion of actually being under the sea.

3.  Fontainebleau Miami Beach

This is the Miami property that's hosting a $500,000 — you read that right — New Year's Eve package including Justin Bieber, fancy cars, and a $100,000 jewelry shopping spree. You know some deep-pocketed folks will be Instagramming that.

4.  Wynn Las Vegas

Steve Wynn's glimmering, curvilinear property is among Las Vegas' most upscale casino resorts. Intricate floral installations are popular social media draws... and the spa doesn't suck either.

5.  Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel

This hotel is only open during the summer season, so its place on the list is an impressive feat. But the party seriously rocks all season long.

6.  Venetian Macao

Yes, this is the Chinese version of the Las Vegas property... but it's meant to represent Europe. So your followers will need to scroll the rest of your feed for context clues as to where on earth you really are.
