Did you hear the one about how Drake used the 2016 MTV VMAs stage to profess his love for his longtime BFF, Rihanna? Well, in case you didn't, we're hear to tell you all about it. The rumored lovebirds took the stage at Sunday's show, and when he presented the "We Found Love" singer with her Moonman for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, he decided to use that moment to proclaim how much he cares for her.
"She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old," he told the room. "She's one of my best friends in the world. She's a living, breathing legend in our industry."

Upon that very public confession, the world at large sort of thought that Drizzy would end up proposing to Rih. Despite not getting on one knee and presenting her with an engagement ring, Drake and Rihanna shippers, including The Real Housewives of New York City's Jules Wainstein, certainly hoped that moment would happen.
Obviously he didn't propose. And, yes, we're still kind of bummed about it. Though he wasn't holding back about his feelings for the singer: including a pre-VMAs billboard he bought in her honor and a post-show Instagram about how awesome she is. So, we're thinking it's really only a matter of time.
