This New Podcast Lets You Listen In On Different Couples' Private Therapy Sessions

Eavesdropping at its finest.

Ever want to listen in on a couple’s argument? Now you can.

A new podcast called Where Should We Begin invites listeners into a therapy session between a therapist and their couples clients.

The host is couples therapist and author Esther Perel, who has had her TED Talks on infidelity and sex go viral.

"Have you ever wondered what happens in my office? Or behind closed doors of other couples? Season 1 of my new audio series is here! You can listen to episode 1 I've Had Better," Esther says.

In each episode, she will have a therapy session with an anonymous couple, and the unscripted recording of the session will be what we hear. Although it’s anonymous, the stories and couples are very real, and dealing with very real issues. They found the couples after emailing Esther’s mailing list and got about 450 applicants for the 10-episode series.

The series topics cover infertility, unemployment, betrayal, sexlessness, communication, sexual abuse, trauma, and other troubles the couples are encountering.

In the first episode, a couple is trying to re-establish trust after the husband's brief affair a year earlier. In another episode a husband and wife of 40 years are rocked when she discovers he is a sex addict that has been paying for sex on the side.

Listen for free through mid-July at audible.com/esther. It will also be available on the iPhone's podcast app in October.
