Patton Oswalt Makes Red Carpet Debut With New Girlfriend 1 Year After The Death Of His Wife

The comedian has found love again after heartbreak.

Patton Oswalt is healing his heart with a new love.

The comedian, who lost his wife, true crime writer Michelle McNamara, on April 21, 2016, walked the red carpet holding hands with actress Meredith Salenger at the Los Angeles premiere of Baby Driver on Wednesday.

Any child of the 80s knows, Meredith, 47, was the adorable star of Dream a Little Dream, while her current roles include voice-overs in the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

On June 12, she teased her new love on Instagram, posting a photo of her holding hands with a mystery man, captioning it, “I’m super in love guys. Just FYI.” Turns out, it was Patton.

Patton retweeted two sweet photos with his new lady from the Baby Driver screening.

The comic has not publicly dated since the death of his wife, and one year after her death explained why he finally removed his wedding band.

“I couldn’t bear removing it since April 21, 2016, but now it felt obscene,” he said. “Removing the ring was removing the last symbol of denial of who I was now, and what my life is, and what my responsibilities are.”
