You don’t have to be drinking a dark’n’stormy at your country club to wear these classics.

Preppy clothing doesn’t have a designated season, per se, but clearly the genre hits its peak in warmer temps—ya know, when we’re all out yachting, or hitting the links, or just sipping beachcomber cocktails while we laze away on the sand. Just kidding. While we may get to do that a few days or weeks this summer, more often than not you’re going to find us heading to the office or grocery store or playground. But that’s what’s great about the prepster look—it’s aspirational, meaning, you wear it wishing you were on a yacht or golf course or beach. And, oh yeah, it’s super cute and flattering too.

Alas, because we never met a nautical stripe we didn’t heart, we decided to roundup 15 preppy looks that you’re going to want in your closet this spring (and you’ll be donning straight through Labor Day and beyond).
