Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Escape Kensington Palace For a Spin Around Town

She landed a prince. A real one.

Prince Harry is no longer keeping Meghan Markle cooped up in that horrible Kensington Palace.

The couple of five months were out and about like regular Londoners and not royalty and his beautiful actress girlfriend as they tried to navigate the streets like regular ol’ civilians. Nothing to see here, folks. Just a plain ginger Brit and his special lady friend.

Harry and Megs even held hands as they walked along Piccadilly admiring the Christmas lights, reports U.K.’s The Sun. As they strolled the very busy Shaftesbury Avenue and headed to the at the Gielgud Theatre to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. They were tailed by one royal protection officer. Harry had purchased last minute tickets for the two, who obviously needed to let loose after being stuck in that tiny little shack of a house with the queen.

“Harry has said his privacy is important to him but they are clearly not afraid to be seen in public together,” a friend of Harry’s told the paper. “As an actress Meghan loves the theatre so this was an obvious date to go on.”

Meghan, 35, who stars on Suits, flew to London from her Toronto home early on Monday, and has been enjoying sleepovers with Harry, 32, at his two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage on the palace grounds. They were spotted buying a Christmas tree and shopping for food to cook with.

The actress has visited the UK four times in the past three months, and two months ago was spotted near the palace.

Last month, Harry took a detour home from the Caribbean and stopped in Toronto to see Meghan for a short time.

The two came out as a couple in October.
