Let's face it: Your grandmother's mismatched china just isn't cutting it anymore, and it's time for an upgrade. Conveniently, these custom-made Lenox plates, saucers and tea cups that once belonged to Prince can be yours for the taking. They'd be perfect for consuming all of your favorite purple food and drink!
According to New York Magazine, Nate D. Sanders Auctions is currently auctioning off possessions including the china that belonged to Mayte Garcia from her four-year marriage to Prince. Viewers of the first season of the VH1 reality series Hollywood Exes, which aired from 2012-2014, may recall that Garcia displayed the elaborate china in a large case in her living room, and her friends wondered if the items were holding her back from moving on with her life. Now they're on offer in a variety of packages that range from a minimum bid of $50,000 for a 50-piece set to $1,000 for a saucer used at the wedding.
In addition to the china, Garcia has put her engagement and wedding rings and elaborate backless wedding gown with faux fur-trimmed jacket on the block. There's also a wide variety of other Prince swag, such as rare demo tapes, silk and metallic performance costumes and jewelry including a swirling feather ear cuff that, with an opening bid of $5,000, is one of the most value-conscious items up for sale.
You'll have to act fast if you're interested in a piece of the Purple One: The auction ends at 5 p.m. PST on March 17.
