Selma Blair Explains That "Terrifying" Time She Had a "Psychotic Blackout" on a Plane

The actress opened up about that incident from back in June.

Back in June, Selma Blair made headlines after she was removed from an international flight on a stretcher and later rushed to receive medical attention. The actress had been vacationing with her family in Cancun, Mexico when they were making their way back to Los Angeles. While on the plane she reportedly drank wine and later started saying unusual things like: "He burns my private parts. He won't let me eat or drink. He beats me. He's going to kill me."

Now all these months later, during an appearance on The Talk, she's sharing what really happened that day. "Yes [I'm doing good], thank god. Hopefully everyone on the plane is doing fine by now, too, because it was really disruptive," she shared. "I am someone who should never drink and I rarely do and I don't drink anymore, but I did [that day]. I was going through something. I had a glass of wine, someone gave me a pill that I thought was something that I had taken before, which I don't take on a regular basis. It was something completely different. A very bad choice and I had a total psychotic blackout. It was horrible and frightening and I had empathy for myself actually afterwards because actually it was so out of character for me, especially now that I am a mother."

She went on to call the incident "terrifying," and added that she "totally own[s] it. It will not happen again."
