Snoop Dogg Wants to Save This Popular Chicken Chain from Bankruptcy
We can't wait to try Snoop's version of chicken and waffles.
Snoop Dogg might be able to swoop in and save the day for one beloved yet embattled restaurant chain that's famous for its chicken. According to the Los Angeles Times, East Coast Foods Inc., the parent company of the Southern California chain Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. That comes in the wake of a $3.2 million judgment against the company won by a former employee for discrimination and wrongful termination. The company estimates it has assets worth under $50,000 and between $10-50 million in debt.
"No they didn't!" he retorted in disbelief when TMZ told him the news. "I guess I'mma have to buy it and make it Snoop Dogg's Chicken and Waffles!"
Snoop has long been an avowed disciple of Roscoe's. He even chose the restaurant as the location for a 2008 interview with Larry King on CNN. Maybe he'll stick to his word about wanting to rescue the popular chain—especially if no one tells him about all those debts.
