Taylor Swift has taken the stand in the groping trial involving former Colorado DJ David Mueller.
The DJ’s attorney, Gabriel McFarland, called the singer to the stand for questioning to ask about the meet-and-greet she had with Mueller, when Taylor alleged he grabbed her butt inappropriately while the two posed together.
In Taylor’s words:
"It was a definite grab. A very long grab,” she told the court. As for “how long” it went on for, Taylor said, “I don't think it would be wise to estimate time in court, but I know it was long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional."
When asked if Mueller had grabbed her “bare bottom,” Taylor was blunt.
"Yes. He stayed latched on to my bare ass cheek... I felt him grab onto my ass cheek underneath my skirt. The first couple of milliseconds I thought it must be a mistake, so I moved to the side very quickly so that his side would be removed from my ass cheek, but it didn't let go.”
"It was a very shocking thing that has never happened to me before. This was not something I had ever dealt with. I got as far away from him as I possibly could,” she added.
Taylor's allegations stem from a photo op before a concert at Denver's Pepsi Center in June 2013. After she complained to Mueller's bosses, he was fired from KYGO.
On Wednesday Taylor's mom Andrea Swift, who was also at the photo op, testified, pointing at Mueller and telling the court, "He sexually assaulted her. Right there, that guy."
More to come as the trial unfolds.
