Apollo Nida Pleads Guilty to Fraud

Phaedra Parks' husband says it was a "dumb situation I put myself in."

Apollo Nida pleaded guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Tuesday. Indicted back in January, he will receive formal sentencing on July 8.

Appearing in court in a light-colored plaid jacket, Apollo expressed regret and says he takes "full responsibility for his actions," which included allegedly defrauding various individuals and financial institutions, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "It was a dumb situation I put myself in."

"It's my fault at the end of the day," he added. "I got sucked in and engulfed and lost sight of things."

When Apollo sat down on the couch for the Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion, he opened up about his troubles. "We're just going to let it play out," he said.

Despite Apollo and his wife Phaedra Parks' turmoil, the couple are putting up a united front. In fact, their issues may have made their marriage even stronger.

"I've come to learn the challenges of being married, but also the joys of being married," Phaedra said last week of the situation. Phaedra added they're even considering renewing their vows. "At this point in my life, a vow renewal would be nice."
