Jeremiah gives us the scoop on decorating Rachel and Rodger’s dream home.

on Sep 28, 2011 - The Dish0

On last night's episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, Rachel and Rodger finally moved into their new baby-friendly home (after Rodger's whirlwind trip to Vegas). The home was a major upgrade from their couple's apartment -- so it needed a load of new furnishings, and in typical Zoe fashion, they only had 10 days to outfit it.

Enter Rachel's latest hire Jeremiah Brent, who just happens to come to Zoe Inc. with an interior design pedigree. His first major project as Rachel's employee was fully furnishing her home in time for baby, and keeping it perfectly tailored to the couple's pretty specific style. No pressure or anything.

"Rachel and Rodger, I don't know if you've seen, but they like things white and shiny, with lots of mirrors," Jeremiah admits.

His challenge: to expand the couple's boundaries beyond the nearly neutral.

"I really, really wanted to push them in their design aesthetic," Jeremiah says. "You know Rachel and Rodger moved into a French Normandy style home. It is a lot more traditional. So I tried to kind of move them from just modern and introduce more traditional pieces and create the juxtaposition of contemporary with old word pieces. So I think we accomplished that. I loved it."

And Rachel and Rodger adored it too (check out the before and after photos to decide how you feel). Of course there were some things Jeremiah didn't get to do in the home. Jer mentioned that like any creative outlet the process was about editing his wants to fit his clients, even if it lead to a few heartbreaks.

"I remember, for instance, there was this huge gold framed mirror that I wanted in that house more than anything, and you should have seen Rachel and Rodger's face when I said gold," Jeremiah said. "Needless to say it didn't make it. I tried!"

Thankfully their faces were a little bit more pleased when they saw the finished product.

Don’t agree with Jeremiah’s design. Start a Tweet Battle about his aesthetic.

I'm so over the whole Rachel Zoe experience!!! The house is just as boring and flavorless as her personality. The over-obsessing, the cattiness and the complaints!! I really would love for the show to focus more on her styling (like it used to) than her. I really used to like her but now I'm finding her so very annoying. Does anyone else notice that Mandonna looks like a brunette version of Taylor??????

Could View 1000 be Joey perchance? He is the annoying one, playing both sides,he is an old and obviously cherished friend so why he is doing what he is doing by undermining Jeremiah I don`t know. His job on the house was spot on, I would prefer colors and it will be interesting to see what happens as the baby grows. Reminds me a lot of my childhood home. I absolutely ADORE her clothing and accessory collection,a touch of Mad Men with romance thrown in.The capes, the white dress. I LOVE IT ALL,

I forgot to add to my comments that I agree with "Bibee" ... that I disagree with "View1000" that "Jeremiah is really annoying to watch. I am having a hard time watching Rachel Zoe this season because of him...."

I feel just the opposite of what "View1000" said!! How can anyone say that about Jeremiah? He's a very hard worker as well as being a sweet and kind young man.

I wonder who "View1000" really is??? Hmmmmm!! I wonder!! ;)

Jeremiah did a fabulous job, beyond fabulous actually, with Rachel and Rodger's new home! With the trucks being late with the new furniture, I had to sit on my hands watching this because I kept screaming ... "You can do it, Jeremiah. You can do it!" and he did it!! WOW!!! The furniture was absolutely beautiful ... especially the couch (with the studs) in the living room. He gets the last thing done and Rachel and Rodger show up! I held my breath because we, the viewers, didn't know what the rooms looked like until Rachel and Rodger were given the tour. I'm so happy they loved it! Rachel's closet? OMG! I want that closet!! Jeremiah, you should very, very proud of yourself for taking care of this huge task ... and, most of all, that Rachel and Rodger LOVED it! I am so very happy for you. You are new to their team and proved right off the bat that when there's a time crunch, you stepped up to the plate and you did it!! I was just so happy and proud of you that I felt like I was your Mom!! :) A very impressive job, Jeremiah!! You are like a breath of fresh air to their team! Hugs to you! xo

I was amazed at the quick but spectacular job Jeremiah did of designing the new digs for Rachel, Roger and the baby to be. He certainly picked up on her color choice and Roger's too. I disagree with the comment by View1000 about Jeremiah's being annoying. Frankly its Joey, that is coming on too strong and so soon into this new season. He seems to be playing both sides. Encouraging Jeremiah, while at the same time trying to undermine him with the other assistants. Hang in there Jeremiah and try your hand soon at Styling with Rachel. Although after viewing this season opener of their new home, I wouldn't be surprised if Rachel's clients began to send Interior Designing jobs your way. Good luck.
