At certain times in our lives we have to let go of some of the things and people we think are so important to us so that we're free to grow and move forward, but it can be very painful. I honestly think that for you to have been able to take another step toward the things you've wanted for so long, you first had to let go of the those relationships that demanded all of your emotional energy. Then you were able to focus on what was ahead of you ... your whole life.
