I moved to New Jersey two years ago and I have to say money or no money, I find that most of the women that I meet here act very much like these Brownstone women. The truly nice women that I have met come from other states. I hate to say that but in my experience in New Jersey, it's true.

I would suggest that the Real Housewives in NJ teach their children some manners and to have empathy for other people, because these people are truly rude and self serving.

Back to the show, Jacquelyn (the one person who is nice) is so obviously from another state because she has real manners and grace. You will never finds those qualities in a Real New Jersey woman.

Teresa,

From one Italian girl to another..why on earth would you massacre your last name with a pronounciation of GU-DICE ?

Please don't Americanize the pronunciation of the name...you do a dis service to the beauty of the Italian language by doing such thing.....there is no reason to do such a thing...don't worry..if you pronounce it correctly...it will be accepted by all the "Americans" in your town and maybe you will teach them something as well.

I have become enamored of this show!!! I honestly didn't think i would but I AM! So much so, I want to meet these people. I think they need some friends outside of their own little spere. It would help some of the women to not be so focused on the bull-sh** that goes on with the "familia". But over all.... they are a hoop and a holler! I love it!

I think that the cast of this show does awful things for the reputation of New Jersey's citizens and for Italians. Needless to say, projecting this stereotype on national television of classless nouveaux riche is not what this country needs their youth to be modeling themselves after. At least with the New York season the ladies were working towards raising money for charity events and were holding people accountable for their actions. Flipping tables while cursing and begging your husband for a breast augmentation is hardly entertaining. Wish there it was a season worth watching.

Okay, so I'm a "Jersey Girl" I guess. Grew up here and my entire family is from here. I have to say, not all of what is shown is a true representation of NJ. We do have other people here who are NOT Italian. My big fear is we as a state are going to end up embarrassed. I know they have to pick flashy and rich characters for the show. To be honest, how many of us would watch a housewives show with women doing all the mundane tasks a mom really has? The show would get cancelled. I have to say I like the Mama cub on the show, though the "goodfellaesque" quality she's bringing could use some toning down. I think it's going to get very ugly very fast on this show. We have hot tempers here in Jersey and they've already shown what looks to be a physical confrontation going down in later episodes. I just pray they don't do too much damage. I can't help but wonder if they thought this through. The Brownstone is a REALLY nice place that people use because of it's reputation for being a white glove service type of venue. At the end of this I hope their business doesn't end up taking the hit due to the show. Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the rest of the country doesn't judge us all for the bad behavior to come. I know I don't think GA,NY and CA are full of people only like those on the show. I hope the other viewers show my state the same courtesy. I know we're the butt of many a joke already. However, most of those jokes come from people who either haven't been here or haven't seen the state beyond Atlantic City or the Newark Airport. It's not all bad folks. I hope this show and cast don't feed the fires of the false impressions of our state.

Why is it that if you live in a Mansion, Italian, have massive jewels and live lavishly you are automatically part of the Mafia. Get with it people. Just because they have a catering business doesn't mean that this is their only stream of income. Haven't you heard of investment properties, mutual funds, real estate business for Caroline, event and interior design business for Dina. Stop being so damn judgemental. I know where Caroline lives and her home is the same size as mine, I drive well, shop lavishly and my kids are teen princess, they both have their own cars, and we have not been affected by the recession, THANK GOD. My husband has an auto detailing business, and I work in the finance industry and YES, we are black. So does that mean, it was all done on drug money or my husband is a former pro athlete???? NOT! Stop being so damn cynical.

Sit back and enjoy the show because it is going to be hell-air--ious!!! May 12th cannot come quick enough!

Caroline is a real turn off. The Mother Cub "Thick as Thieves" "Prove yourself to me" Tough Italian. We get it. It's too overdone. The show is hard to watch because of it. Lighten up the world will survive just fine without you holding it up or giving your opinion of it. Ktee

I recently met Caroline and Dina at a fund raiser. Though the meeting was very short, I can say unequivocably: they are gorgeous, smart, funny and gee, I wish I could be one of the Real Housewives - with them, of course!

All of the "boo-tons" make Anna Nicole Smith look like Queen Elizabeth.

I wonder why nobody has wondered how all of these families live multimillion dollar lifestyles and ALL of them depend on the "Wedding Factory" to support these lifestyles. Something just isn't right...can you say MAFIA?
