“Don’t take it so serious. It’s a show,” pleads the ‘Wife.

Crossing the line, much? When The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Caroline Manzo stopped by Anderson Live, she shocked the audience with tales of her Twitter horrors.

“Listen to me, don’t take it so serious. It’s a show. We don’t need death threats,” says the fiery redhead, who spent much of last season combatting with former friend Teresa Giudice. “I don’t need to hear that my kids are going to fall off a bridge.”

Albie, Lauren, and Chris’ mama has also received tweets wishing for her Franklin Lakes, NJ home to burn down, and she wants people to realize on-screen disagreements do not warrant such alarming threats. “It’s just a television show. I don’t take it that seriously. I don’t wish bad on anyone,” she continues.

It’s not just the ‘Wives who are subjected to these disturbing messages; Caroline says their fans are known to bitterly argue among themselves. “I don’t think it’s nice that they fight with each other,” the Let Me Tell You Something author informs a wide-eyed Anderson Cooper. “There are little teams that fight with each other on social media. That’s wrong. It’s meant to be fun.”

I watched the show and only watched because of Caroline and her family and Jacquelines family.  Actually I liked everyone but Theresa.  Theresa does not face life in the proper way and she is teaching her daughters to be just like she is.  I thought Kate plus 8 was bad but I don't think anyone has seen anything until Theresa and it is funny how no one says anything about it.  Meanwhile there is Caroline who makes sense and ads something to the show and I truly enjoy that she is right out front there.  How anyone would do that is absolutely awful and maybe shows us that manybe these reality shows are not good.  We are taking someone like Theresa and making her think she is something so great and that she can do and say anything she wants and there is no consequence.  If what I heard is true and that Caroline and Jacqueline and there family will not be on the show this year then I will not be watching.  I do like Melissa though and I cannot believe that she could put up with another season of Theresa.  I just think that we as the public help to make these people famous and I think that you need to be very careful that when something or someone behaves in the wrong way you turn it off and voice your opinion otherwise this goes on and on and on.  If what I heard is true and they won't be back I am sure you will all fill your lives with a lot of better things then the show.  I have enjoyed you and will miss that you are not on the air but I definitely can understand.  People just don't like to face reality and that is the problem with our society.  Best of luck to all of you.

I agree, I am sorry but regardless of whose right and whose wrong threats of any kind is just plain stupid.  I think if somebody is getting so caught up in a reality show it consumes their life to the point of having real anger towards these women then they need to get a life (and therapist).

Caroline,

Don't listen to all the haters!  You and your family are great!  Keep being real.

Blessings,

Easy for you to say Caroline since you and your children were the ones who changed the show with your gang up, hate on Teresa and Jac's daughter. You must not have watched Houswives of New York and Jill doing the same to Bethenny.   Now you even sound like Jill who's words to Andy were something like "but I thought it would be good tv and the ratings would go up"--except one problem --she forgot to tell Bethenny.

The truth lies more like you thought you were so popular you could stab anyone in the back and get away with it. Its always those who fail to clean up their own backyard that try to go dirty up someone else's

It's just a show, right?  Not to be taken seriously?  You took it pretty damn seriously for the past two seasons.....over a fun little cookbook.  You should take your own advice, Caroline.

I think maybe you didn't watch every season.  Caroline and the rest of the ladies were all fine it was Theresa who was the problem. She is so fake.  There is no way I would buy anything she writes.  She is just not a nice persona and she lets her behaviors rub off to her daughters.  So when they grow up they should really have there heads on straight - Not.  I think she just thinks she can behave and show so much hate and just get away with it.  The only way people learn is when you turn off the t.v. and don''t watch them.  Remember kate plus 8 - she went off the air.

@HousewifeinNH You are so right she took something so small and made it so big until she forgot what the problem really was
