Get Ready for The Real Housewives of D.C.!

Real Wives of DC is underway, and the Jersey girls are back for Season 2.

October 6, 2009

It's official. Flip a table and wave an American flag - The Real Housewives of D.C. is a go, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back for a second season! Production for both series is currently underway, and you can expect the Jersey girls and D.C. wives to premiere in 2010.

So, a few deets on The Real Housewives of D.C. We scouted the D.C. area to find the most alluring residents, the real movers and shakers, ladies who rocked power suits, cougars in the cutthroat political arena ... and you're going to love who we found. We can't spill the dirt on the cast just yet, but we CAN tell you that the cast doesn't include the Real First Lady, Michelle Obama. (Keep your fingers crossed for Season 2.)

We're also very excited to have The Real Housewives of New Jersey back for a second season, to see what restaurants they can destroy! Plus we have a lot of questions for the N.J. ladies. For instance - does Cop Without A Badge have a sequel? Does Danielle go by yet another name? Does Jacqueline have her baby on camera? Does Teresa ever get lost in that mansion of hers? Is Caroline's dog trained to kill? Guess we'll have to wait and see...

obviously NEW ORLEANS is wanted by RHW's fans!!make it happen bravo!!:)

They should have The Real Housewives of New Iberia it would show the true louisiana and then they will learn the culture of LA since the state of Louisiana is getting big and big every year.

What about Alaska Housewifes ???????

thry should have the realhousewives of little rock arkansas or dallas texas

They should have the real housewives of Dallas, Texas cause everything is bigger in Texas and have Kim from Atlanta move there ; I think she would fit in well. Also housewives of Miami, Florida and have some Latina housewives. That Miami social show was a tease.

How 'bout "Real Housewives of Baldwin Hills" where wealth, Hollywood and the "Hood" intersect!

Real housewives of New England

WHAT ABOUT THE REAL HOUSEWIFE OF PENN? KATE. COME ON THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE REAL HOUSEWIFE. LETS GET REAL LADYS.

Love all Bravo shows! Anyone knows how to find info abt Make Me a Supermodel season 3 AUDITIONS? I want to sign up my stepson :) I know he's got what it takes to make it to the show and WIN!

I agree with some of you above that the Real Housewives needs to be filmed in Miami (can't forget the Sunshine State!). It would make an awesome locale and there would be some real crazy and wild personalities. Other interesting places in Florida to make a Housewives series would be Tampa, West Palm, and Key West.

Love the Bravo HW shows! NJ being the BEST! Love Teresa and Caroline :) But...how about the Housewives of Miami? Or the Housewives of Broward County? South Florida is extremely diverse and there is also the Latina drama angle (I can say that...I'm Latina, lol). Look into it...

I saw an episode of "....New Jersey" and the show seems to be the best in the series. I am waiting for another encore so I can catch up and get to know the wives. I'm already swaying towards Carolime as my favorite.

Can't wait for Housewives of N J !!!!!! You're the best yet of all housewives!!!! You're very REAL!!!! LOVE YA, LOVE YA, LOVE YA

When will we have the housewives of TEXAS???? and please put some LATINAS in there as housewives and not as Maids!!!!

Cann't wait for the Jersey's girls new season!!! DC House wives should be a blast! NJ keep it real, love to all of you!

Hey Ya'll I am not sure about HW D.C what I know is Dallas/FTW is prime usda drama here!Hope Kandi is doing ok...lots of love out to her.Diane and Doree.

In reference to the post that read "I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?

What's up with that(um)."

I as a woman would love to be associated with "Rosie the Riviter" It was and still is women like her that make this world go round. If women depended on men for everything then there would be no pride in being a woman. She is the example that when men aren't here to do the job we as women can.

I agree that Bravo should do a "Housewives" from the midwest. There are still some families earning big bucks in Detroit, MI and the surrounding suburbs. And y'all KNOW we've had our share of drama lately!! Am I the only one with "Don't Be Tardy For The Party" stuck in their head?!? LOL!!

I'm really happy to hear this. I'm also really really happy that New Jersey is coming back. I just hope is doesn't turn in a huge ego thing like New York did I was so tired of hearing about Bethanney Bakes, True Faith Jewelry, Zarin Fabrics, Frog or Owl Jewelry, books, whatever else. I felt like I was watching one of those infomercials that you find on TV early in the morning. NY got so boring. Even Atlanta has lost a lot of it's edge. Edit out the boring stuff Bravo, please.

They need to be sure to have atleast 2 African American Women in the Real Housewives of D.C. African Americans make up a huge amount of the population here, so it would be nice to be represented. They should be sure to have a housewife of Latino descent as well.

What about the real house wives of kern county

DC is on a roll, first The Real World(Finally) comes here now The real Housewives come here. Great to see georgetown and Friendship heights spotlighted. People will see we are not all about Politics nor The Redskins.LOL. No we don't want to see Real Housewives of Baltimore Hun.LOL

THERE SHOULD BE A REAL HOUSE WIVES OF RICHMOND...

I agree about a housewives of New Orleans. Maybe then we could end the gross mis-judgement of the south.

Real Housewives of LA please. I cannot believe there has not been one yet.

I know they should have one by New Iberia

@Jean - I 100% agree!! They need a Real Housewives Of New Orleans!! Soo much culture in this beautiful city!! And more Southern Charm!!

I would love to see a RHW of the midwest also. St. Louis, Denver, KC, or Chicago. Don't leave us out!!!

real housewives of the US Virgin Islands. bravo should come to the island of st. john and follow the rich and famous while they lay beach side. you would never believe the drama that can happen on an island with no escape.

DC SOUNDS INTERESTING BUT I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR SEASON 2 OF NEW JERSEY!! TERESSA WAS MY FAAAAAV N I CNT WAIT TO C HER NEW 4TH BABY GIRL!!
N I AGREE WITH THE OTHER VIEWERS, RHW OF NEW ORLEANS WOULD B AWESOMEEEEEE!!!! LOVE U BRAVO!!

I love all of the housewives shows. Welcome aboard DC ladies!. I look forward to these shows every week. Most of the shows are on the east coast. What about Miami, Texas, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Chicago, or South Carolina (bellas) Can't wait for HW of NJ to start! Love that Teresa.

Real Housewives of the Quad-Cities, Davenport & Bettendorf, IA; Rock Island & Moline, IL.

Love all the shows~ keep doing what you are doing! Think about Real Housewives of the Northwest..... Portland Oregon is gorgeous! We are going to highlight it's beauty in our next film:) XO L

I totally agree with just about everyone, where are the housewives of the Midwest? I am partial to Dallas, but Chicago, or Denver would do. Can't wait for the fifth season OC! I agree that we get enough politics on the news, I am not to excited about DC, however I will keep an open mind.

We want a show about the housewives of New Orleans, Louisiana. This would be the show the viewers will take to heart and to a new level. There are so many things about New Orleans, that only the housewives of New Orleans can show and tell. These things will educate people across the United States about the struggle and continuing education of New Orleans. The culture and rebuilding is a story that needs to be seen through the eyes and hearts of the housewives of New Orleans. New Orleans housewives, this is the show to do, probably will be rated 1 across this country.

Realhousewives of Charleston,SC

Would love to see Real Housewifes Of Texas. Where every thing is Big.

I hope the Housewives of DC will include at least one african american wife.

We need the Real Housewives of Gotebo

Yes, Bravo really needs to come to New Orleans to see true southern drama. If you want real life Tennessee Williams drama not punk'd melodrama. Come see the reality of New Orleans and it's patron. It does not get any "REAL"er than life in New Orleans right now. This city would have a cross over impact to socialites, green building communities, resort developers for the newest and most urban designers, artists, community network programs that want to make real impacts ( we have more open opportunities than can be counted. ) BRAVO COME BE PART OF THIS CITY'S REAL TRANSFORMATION. Help document want real housewives with community involvement can do to illustrate true economic growth not just commericalism.

The Housewives could be Amanda and her husband’s PR crowd that show off the DEEP SOUTH Culture. Housewives like John Besh’s wife, Amanda Perschall, & Mitch Landrieu’s wife. Could highlight New Orleans’ social seasons, Mardi Gras Parades & Balls , Easter at Commander’s, Saint’s Season, French Quarter Parties, Crawfish Season, Christmas on the River with Bonfires, Tarpon Rodeo, Wooden Boat Festival, Audubon Programs.

But also during the week day series, they could highlight New Orleans Restoration Projects, Community Planning Sessions designing parks and greenways. Infrastructure Issues. Then Highlighting the local art community, Architecture Highlights, Church Community Social Programs, etc.

I Love all of your RHW's, I am so looking forward to N.J season 2. I do wish the shows were truly live shows. We had to hear of A.J's death on the news. Also do away with the unmarried women like KIM & Sheree PLEASE. As for M.O who are you to say we dont want to see her behind scenes, so dont watch!! There are plenty of us who will......

I am surprised they have not done Miami season yet....however they should COnnecticut, Connecticut is the richest state....right next to new york and new jersey.
love love love the jersey ladies

i would love to see a RHW show based on the southern part of the country...say New Olreans. Southern Belles with deep pockets and and attitude!

FIRST OF ALL IM A HUGE FAN OF ANY HOUSEWIVE EPOSOIDE YA'LL SHOW.
I SERIOUSLY CANT WAIT TO SEE THE DC HOUSEWIVES! YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER DOING A AUSTIN OR DALLAS ONE.

There should seriously be a Real Housewives of NEW ORLEANS!!!!!! I think people have a certain view of New Orleans be it women flashing during Mardi Gras or the city being ultra urban and super political. BUT there are some crazily rich people who live in New Orleans and they live VERY lavish lifestyles along with the fun of "letting the good times roll" NAWLINS STYLE!!!

I can't wait for season 2 of Housewives of NJ. I love all of the Real Housewives shows...they really good.

For the viewer who posted at 12:16pm today and said

"...can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?

What's up with that(um)."

I'll tell you what's up with that, that woman with the rag tied around her head is Rosie the riveter. It is a peice of art by J. howard miller that depicts the first real working women. These women were tough and worked in dangerous factories while their husbands were away at war (WWII). They prooved to America that women could work too, and shouldn't just have to be housewifes.

"Viewer
I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?

What's up with that(um)."

Dear Viewer,

The "woman with a rag tied around her head" is Rosie the Riveter. She was an iconic symbol for feminism during WWII. The fact that "Housewives" is using Rosie probably suggests that the show is going to be a lot about female empowerment or women rising above male oppression. Suggestion. Internet. Google. J. Miller's "We Can Do It!" and Norman Rockwell's "Saturday Evening Post; Rosie the Riveter." Read. Learn.

So, to answer your question: what's up with that? People in advertising being intelligent and merging art and media to make a more powerful impact.

That's what's up.

"I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?

What's up with that(um)."

That "woman with the rag on her head" is Rosie the Riveter--a huge symbol for women in the 1940s when they were first going into the workforce in the place of men that were sent to war. Over the years she's grown to be a nationally recognizable icon for female empowerment. "We can do it!" Now you can too. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Its about time they have found woman in the D.C. area. I was hoping it was me From what I under your looking for woman with money when I have a business and there is plenty of drama surrounding me.

Will you have a housewives of Scottsdale????
