It's official. Flip a table and wave an American flag - The Real Housewives of D.C. is a go, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back for a second season! Production for both series is currently underway, and you can expect the Jersey girls and D.C. wives to premiere in 2010.
So, a few deets on The Real Housewives of D.C. We scouted the D.C. area to find the most alluring residents, the real movers and shakers, ladies who rocked power suits, cougars in the cutthroat political arena ... and you're going to love who we found. We can't spill the dirt on the cast just yet, but we CAN tell you that the cast doesn't include the Real First Lady, Michelle Obama. (Keep your fingers crossed for Season 2.)
We're also very excited to have The Real Housewives of New Jersey back for a second season, to see what restaurants they can destroy! Plus we have a lot of questions for the N.J. ladies. For instance - does Cop Without A Badge have a sequel? Does Danielle go by yet another name? Does Jacqueline have her baby on camera? Does Teresa ever get lost in that mansion of hers? Is Caroline's dog trained to kill? Guess we'll have to wait and see...
I am soooo excited for DC and for the second season of the Jersey girls. And the OC ladies are back in November. Don't be tardy for the party. lol.
I have a better story than you could ever amagine and so does all of my friends and probably the thousands of other women that will attempt to be in this story.
Wow, what a great series, was hooked from episode 1, whose not to like, they all have great personalities, and I find it fascinating how the other half live. Loved the last episode, what a way to leave us wanting more. Cant wait for more, please hurry, UK tv is not the same without this.
You are doig a show on how well to do women spend their day, time and money, how about doing a show on women that struggle to make the money and keep it the best way they know how going to school, working two jobs and dealing with a marriage as well.
Are you kidding me? We have a show about women on the west cost, and now 4 shows about women on the east coast. Has it even crossed Bravo's mind to do a show about women in the middle of the country? Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis? How about something for us girls in the Midwest and the center of the country?
I have to admit that I would like to see a housewives show with real wives like myself. I'm a working mom with two kids, husband, dog and house to run. All in still trying to stay sexy for my husband, young for my kids, and a genius at getting my money's worth at the store. But that's probably not great ratings.
i agree about the midwest thing i am from detroit and though the economy is bad in michigan(everywhere) there are lots of wealthy people in metro detroit and in chicago.....i think a chi town houewives would be awesome
I REALLY wish Bravo would consider a RH of Dallas or maybe Houston? It's not all tumbleweeds and spurs out here! I've LOVED every installment (OC and NJ are my absolute favorites!) but why is Bravo leaving out the great state of Texas? C'mon Bravo!
Im sorry but theres nothing in the midwest anyone wants to see. I mean what are they going to make the show about? milking cows? The midwest is flyover territory and it will stay that way! Did this sound arrogant? probably how they think....
Seriously - you should do a show on wives in Texas, namely Dallas. They could rival the Orange County housewives any day with all of the oil and large corporations and sports teams that are headquartered here.
Can't wait for my Jersey girls, though!
Thank goodness M.O. is not going to be on the DC wives. I for sure would not watch. Actually I don't know if I want to watch anybody that has to do with politics. We get enough of their town foolery on the news. That is quite enough. Looking forward to Jersey wives!
I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?
What's up with that(um).
LOVE..LOVE...LOVE RHWs.... I would love to see RHW of South Beach. The "real" cast would have to include either a gay man in order for the South Beach RHW to be REAL.
I thought for sure the next would be Dallas, or maybe Chicago. DC I am surprised with. I'd really love to see Dallas, and this is coming from some one that lives and wors 30 minutes from DC.
I LOVE WATCHING ALL THE HOUSEWIVES FROM EVERY SEASON AND STATE! BUT SOMETIME YOU SHOULD DO A REAL SHOW THAT LOOKS INTO PEOPLE LIVES THAT DON'T LIVE THE LAVISH LIFESTYLES! DO A SHOW ABOUT THE WOMEN IN CUYAHOGA FALLS, OHIO! WE CAN GIVE YOU JUST AS MUCH DRAMA IN OUR WORKING LIVES AS ANY OF THOSE GREAT HOUSEWIVES HAVE! I LOVE THEM ALL! CANT WAIT TIL THURDAY!
What's the deal Bravo? All the the Real Housewives series are all east coast based except for the OC! I want to see a Real Housewives of Denver, Texas, Arizona, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle and San Diego. You should start to alternate back and forth so we all feel the love:)
I think you all should do a Housewives of Maryland. We are the richest state in the United States so believe me you can find plenty of people who has money and would fit for you're show. Also, why not do the average everyday working woman who's a housewife but has a good job, holding things down for her family. Also, why do it always has to be a housewife that has kids. What about us women who don't have kids but still are wives or girlfriends that work hard to make the money and maintain a nice home. I think you would get more ratings if you did something for the everyday average person. Not always someone who has money. More people in this day & time can relate to the average hard working woman.
All this sounds great but whatever happened to the Housewives of NYC? I've written and written and written some more asking that same old question but no answer. Is Bravo asleep or what? I am glad to see the wives of D.C. come abroard but where is New York? Where? Will someone have the decency to answer my simple question? Maybe no one cares. I don't know but just answer my question about New York, Please!!!Pretty Please ya'll?
Thank you, Katherine
Its about time they have found woman in the D.C. area. I was hoping it was me From what I under your looking for woman with money when I have a business and there is plenty of drama surrounding me.
"I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?
What's up with that(um)."
That "woman with the rag on her head" is Rosie the Riveter--a huge symbol for women in the 1940s when they were first going into the workforce in the place of men that were sent to war. Over the years she's grown to be a nationally recognizable icon for female empowerment. "We can do it!" Now you can too. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
"Viewer I love all the housewive shows, ATL, NJ, Orange County can you please tell me why the housewives of DC picture is that of a woman with a rag tied around her head?
What's up with that(um)."
Dear Viewer,
The "woman with a rag tied around her head" is Rosie the Riveter. She was an iconic symbol for feminism during WWII. The fact that "Housewives" is using Rosie probably suggests that the show is going to be a lot about female empowerment or women rising above male oppression. Suggestion. Internet. Google. J. Miller's "We Can Do It!" and Norman Rockwell's "Saturday Evening Post; Rosie the Riveter." Read. Learn.
So, to answer your question: what's up with that? People in advertising being intelligent and merging art and media to make a more powerful impact.
That's what's up.
For the viewer who posted at 12:16pm today and said

I'll tell you what's up with that, that woman with the rag tied around her head is Rosie the riveter. It is a peice of art by J. howard miller that depicts the first real working women. These women were tough and worked in dangerous factories while their husbands were away at war (WWII). They prooved to America that women could work too, and shouldn't just have to be housewifes.
I can't wait for season 2 of Housewives of NJ. I love all of the Real Housewives shows...they really good.
There should seriously be a Real Housewives of NEW ORLEANS!!!!!! I think people have a certain view of New Orleans be it women flashing during Mardi Gras or the city being ultra urban and super political. BUT there are some crazily rich people who live in New Orleans and they live VERY lavish lifestyles along with the fun of "letting the good times roll" NAWLINS STYLE!!!
FIRST OF ALL IM A HUGE FAN OF ANY HOUSEWIVE EPOSOIDE YA'LL SHOW. I SERIOUSLY CANT WAIT TO SEE THE DC HOUSEWIVES! YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER DOING A AUSTIN OR DALLAS ONE.
i would love to see a RHW show based on the southern part of the country...say New Olreans. Southern Belles with deep pockets and and attitude!
I am surprised they have not done Miami season yet....however they should COnnecticut, Connecticut is the richest state....right next to new york and new jersey. love love love the jersey ladies
I Love all of your RHW's, I am so looking forward to N.J season 2. I do wish the shows were truly live shows. We had to hear of A.J's death on the news. Also do away with the unmarried women like KIM & Sheree PLEASE. As for M.O who are you to say we dont want to see her behind scenes, so dont watch!! There are plenty of us who will......
Yes, Bravo really needs to come to New Orleans to see true southern drama. If you want real life Tennessee Williams drama not punk'd melodrama. Come see the reality of New Orleans and it's patron. It does not get any "REAL"er than life in New Orleans right now. This city would have a cross over impact to socialites, green building communities, resort developers for the newest and most urban designers, artists, community network programs that want to make real impacts ( we have more open opportunities than can be counted. ) BRAVO COME BE PART OF THIS CITY'S REAL TRANSFORMATION. Help document want real housewives with community involvement can do to illustrate true economic growth not just commericalism.
The Housewives could be Amanda and her husband’s PR crowd that show off the DEEP SOUTH Culture. Housewives like John Besh’s wife, Amanda Perschall, & Mitch Landrieu’s wife. Could highlight New Orleans’ social seasons, Mardi Gras Parades & Balls , Easter at Commander’s, Saint’s Season, French Quarter Parties, Crawfish Season, Christmas on the River with Bonfires, Tarpon Rodeo, Wooden Boat Festival, Audubon Programs.
But also during the week day series, they could highlight New Orleans Restoration Projects, Community Planning Sessions designing parks and greenways. Infrastructure Issues. Then Highlighting the local art community, Architecture Highlights, Church Community Social Programs, etc.
We want a show about the housewives of New Orleans, Louisiana. This would be the show the viewers will take to heart and to a new level. There are so many things about New Orleans, that only the housewives of New Orleans can show and tell. These things will educate people across the United States about the struggle and continuing education of New Orleans. The culture and rebuilding is a story that needs to be seen through the eyes and hearts of the housewives of New Orleans. New Orleans housewives, this is the show to do, probably will be rated 1 across this country.
I totally agree with just about everyone, where are the housewives of the Midwest? I am partial to Dallas, but Chicago, or Denver would do. Can't wait for the fifth season OC! I agree that we get enough politics on the news, I am not to excited about DC, however I will keep an open mind.
Love all the shows~ keep doing what you are doing! Think about Real Housewives of the Northwest..... Portland Oregon is gorgeous! We are going to highlight it's beauty in our next film:) XO L
I love all of the housewives shows. Welcome aboard DC ladies!. I look forward to these shows every week. Most of the shows are on the east coast. What about Miami, Texas, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Chicago, or South Carolina (bellas) Can't wait for HW of NJ to start! Love that Teresa.
DC SOUNDS INTERESTING BUT I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR SEASON 2 OF NEW JERSEY!! TERESSA WAS MY FAAAAAV N I CNT WAIT TO C HER NEW 4TH BABY GIRL!! N I AGREE WITH THE OTHER VIEWERS, RHW OF NEW ORLEANS WOULD B AWESOMEEEEEE!!!! LOVE U BRAVO!!
