This show should be great. I love both NYC and OC. I have lived in New Jersey for 3 years now and love most people in this state but see lots of possibilities for this show to be funny and crazy.
New Jersey? NEW JERSEY? Come on now!! Who fell a sleep at the wheel in the programming department? How different from New York is New Jersey? It's all the east coast culture. Why not Dallas, or Chicago or Minneapolis or Detroit? These are places unvisited by the housewives series. You goofed BRAVO. Now it's down to 3 shows I watch from 7. Maybe I should just stop all together.
I cannot even bare the idea of watching this. I am from NJ and believe me there are better housewives in NJ. Bravo searched way too close to NY from these women! Come down to the shore and find some real women!
What about Boise Idaho? Centerville TN? Tunica MS.....come on and give me a break. Let's see more with the tried and true!
Are you kidding me? Are these the husbands or the wives? Who cares about Jersey housewives? Disgusted Viewer is right now Dallas or Houston yes, but Jersey?
I fully expected a Real Housewives of Dallas, Miami, Chicago, Boston, etc. However, one done in New Jersey? Oh My!! The mind reels! Should we expect a quintent of "Carmela Soprano-esque" females? Atlanta was a trainwreck and I fear more of the same. DeShawn was not renewed for season 2 of Atlanta. Why? Was she simply too nice? She was quite a breath of real air! Here is hoping it is a hit! OC and NYC are the BEST!
How about in Virginia or Kentucky or Tennessee?? What is so wrong with these places that you can not pick from them? I think a Real Housewives that depicts a REAL life instead of the rich and famous going to parties and premieres would be far more interesting and would relate with the majority of families across the United States. It would show the real struggles that we are all faced with not just what dress to wear with what shoes or where should I send my child to boarding school at or which party shall I attend tonight. Let's see some real families with real issues.
MIAMI! Come on how about it? All the rich ones u know from spanish music, spanish tv. Plus baseball, nba, football wives. Oh boy
And why not San Diego? I'm sure that we must have some "interesting" housewives here. Of course we are not Orange County and are not quite so botoxed or so "enhanced" but we do live in a really beautiful city and the natives are very friendly.
I am by no means looking for an audition - my life would put people to sleep half way through the show, if not sooner, but I just don't think I would be that interested in some " real housewife" from New Jersey - of course, now that I think about it, I didn't think that I would enjoy "The Housewives (LOL) of New York" and I actually love that show.
I have to agree with Peg about DeShawn, of "The Housewives of Atlanta". I really, really like DeShawn - I thought that she was a real sweetheart and I would have really enjoyed getting to know her better.
So, okay bring it on: maybe I will learn to love "The Housewives of New Jersey" - and then again, maybe not - I do have the option of changing the channel!
These are total Jersey girls, the way they talk and act---they are not close to the New York border. Although being in Jersey and knowing that it is the richest state in the Union, we are so close to New York City that it is really stupid because we have many luxuries in this state, but we typically all go to NYC.
I have to admit I was apprehensive about the show but after the preview special and watching the clips from the upcoming season I am hooked! These women are REAL! Sure they like their expensive homes and cars, their jewelry, etc. But holy cow, do not mess with these women! Its almost like the female version of the Sopranos. I'm waiting for violence to ensue on this show.
I love reality TV, so is it me or did I see Dina and Tommy on Platinum Weddings or one of the Oxygen network wedding shows? I think I do remember them because the poor woman was so razzled with so many people coming and most were his family and friends.
Wow now we get to see the other side, I wondered sometimes how some of those marriages were working out and if the people were still together. What they do on TV always astounds me. You put your life out there for the masses people are going to comment.
i watched the preview of the new jersey housewives tonight, and the show looks really great, and wasn't dina's wedding shown on i think million dollar weddings, if so i saw that, and her wedding was beautiful.
Wow, I am really surprised Bravo hasn't tapped into Miami. There are plenty of rich, shallow and tasteless women here. New Jersey in very close to New York but in all honesty I do think they are worlds apart.
I saw the preview and this show really is awful!!!! It's like watching a mafia family....watch out Godfather! I will not watch this show the OC, NYC, and Atlanta I like but this one is really bad. It's all about don't mess with da faamiiiily. We've seen that movie before BRAVO!!!!!!
I SAW A PREVIEW OF THE NEW JERSY HOUSEWIVES.I RMEMBER TOMMY AND DINA AND CAROLINE FROM MY BIG FAT FAB WEDDING ON WE? I THOUGH THEY WE CUTE THEY REMINDED ME OF PEOPLE I GREW UP WITH.HOW ABOUT BOSTON NEXT?
NJ is the best, we have an amazing state...but please, these Italian American women are just a fraction of the many kinds of women that live in this state....Rock on Irish girls!
I was bored. That girl Dina is hooked on reality TV. She was already on platinum weddings. Bravo what were you thinking? If I want to watch the sopranos I can just pop in the DVD.
honestly, the real housewives shows are about drama, would you watch them every week if it was boise idaho or tennesee, good ol conservative down on the farm wholesome family business? While that is all well and good, it does not make for good TV, because that would be like looking in a mirror for most of us. Bring on the Jersey wives and all the trashy glamorous-ness!!
I am absolutly horrified at the way the NJ housewives acted. It is a terrible depiction of NJ and I am embarrassed to live here if these are the horrific people being displayed. This is definatly not how the Real Housewives of New Jersey act and Bravo and the owners of the Brownstone House should be mortified to even have these people on the air.
As someone who lives in New Jersey, I am completely offended that this is the representation of our state. SERIOUSLY!!! Can you at least just name the city not just brand the whole state with these women?!
I DO NOT live in North Jersey near these women, but rather at the beach where they invade our towns with entitlement attitudes. The only glad part of summer ending is the farewell to these awful people in our shore towns.
C'mon Bravo why are you perpetuating this dreadful stereotype of our state?!
I love your housewives series because it gives me a glimpse of what type of women to stay away from. While watching your latest line I heard Danielle say that she wants to be a princess again and someone needs to swoop in and save her and the kids. She also said that she would be kicked out of her home if she didnt recieve a settlement soon. Didnt seem too worried when your tanning and sitting on your ass. Go get a job, because bottom line is that even with a new husband, youll be divorced again if you dont get it together. No one wants to deal with lazy women.
This should be one *HOT MESS* of a show! :) I saw the blonde NJ Housewife get married in "Platinum Weddings" - just knowing THAT background gives me some insight to the family!
I have been a fan of the Housewives series since the beginning. The preview of New Jersey was a huge dissapointment. They are a joke. I can't believe New Jersey was the best you could come up with, especially with all of the success of the preceeding shows. Housewives New Jersey resembles the Sopranos with a splash of Fran Drescher. Give me a break! Needless to say, I will sit this one out. Better luck Next time..
What a huge disappointment I could only watch fifteen minutes and these women all look like mobsters wives. Who was in charge of deciding on the wives to choose? This series depicts flashy, italian women. New Jersey has many classy professional women and also middle class stay at home moms! This truly looks like an episode of the Sopranos. I'm embarrassed to say I live in New Jersey after that episode!
Ok first of all this show is going to be hilarious. Is it an accurate depiction of NJ? No, not entirely. But as a girl from north jers I can tell you that, although there are MANY areas in North Jersey that are not like that, there are an equal number of areas that are exactly like that! As for you upset jersey shore peeps, if you wanna bash anyone it should be MTV's "Im a Jersey Shore Girl", cuz that was BOGUS! No girl from the shore looks or acts like that. But ya really cant be upset with this show because it may misrepresent New Jersey as a whole but I'm sure every housewife in Atlanta and NYC was not exactly like the woman they chose to film as well. All in all, don't bash my state, its a show, get over it.
I think the shows are great. I watch them all. Yes they are crazy but very entertaining. I hope they keep making these shows. Its fun to see how other people live their lives. I think bravo has a good series with these shows. Thank you bravo....
I look forward to watching all of the Real Housewives but the ones from Jersey shuld stay there. As a fan of all the housewives I won't be watching the Jersey wives. I feel that Bravo went way over board with this one. How about the Real Housewives of anywhere but Jersey. (No that was not a question.)
I agree with many of the posts about this show being a SOPRANOS "mafia" view of NJ housewives. Give me a break. I was so excited when I saw they were doing a Housewives of NJ, but should have know by the representation from NY Housewives that it would be Bergen County woman, NY accents - guidettes - being represented. HELLO . . . what about the rest of the state. We get a bad enough rap from the area along the NJ Turnpike then you bring in these ridiculous women to represent the millionaire wives of NJ. I guess you couldn't find anyone with that kind of money who were educated and didn't TAUWK (and that's not a misspelling) like their from NYC. That's right, those people don't need their 15 mins. of fame! The mom who said she sees more value in street smarts (for her 19-year old whose abition in life is to open a strip club) than a college education (referring to the son who's gong to law school). What the *@!$ PLEASE PULL THE PLUG ON THIS SHOW BEFORE YOU RUIN what little dignity we have left here in NJ!!!
Oops this has corrections -- I was so mad when I saw the show I couldn't see straight to type!

Come on! It's entertaining. If you want to see mundane, go take a walk. The show is fabulous because it's full of funny/crazy/live large women. Don't take it so serious.
I will watch the show.I enjoyed the sopranos so why not watch this. I have to agree with everyone else, why not go to other states, such as NC, TX , FL etc.
OMG, last night's show made my skin crawl. Will not be watching this season:( Love the OC girls and the NYC too, but Jersey girls...nope! Nice try tho.
What is this?? Tony Manaro meets the Sopranos disorganized crime unit? Wow!!! No manors, and what a way to speak. Are they going to break someones legs because the purse color doesnt match the shoe color?
Booooooooooooooooooring! No way will this work! These women are so boring and have nothing to bring to the table! I will not be watching this one. BRAVO: How about Housewives of Chicago or Dallas? You have the east coast covered with Atlanta and NY and both are great! Please consider one of these two locations! Chicago has the north shore or the Gold coast! Pretty please with a cherry on top?!
I think this show is going to be hysterical!!! It is so typical of the North Jersey guidos & guidettes where flash is more important than substance. Let's see if Grandpa Tiny Manzo gets discussed at all on the show. You have to wonder how they are all going to explain how he was murdered & placed in a trunk but didn't have mob connections.
Come on! All those people from Jersey that are upset about being "represented" by the latest "housewives" installment need to get over it. I live in the OC and know that the "housewives" don't represent me or my friends! The ladies of New Jersey will provide many hours of entertainment. If you can't laugh at them, then turn it off!
Omg are you serious? Dina Manzo?? She was a bride on one of the glam wedding reality shows and was this wimpy bride to be that couldn't get her husband to be, to give her the time of day. Always crying about the way he treated her, had cheated on her and never giving her time with him. So now she's playing some 'bitchy' housewife who doesn't take crap from anyone? rofl In the words of Jim Carey 'Ahhhlrighty then!'
great entertainment---I lived too long in nj saw some of these types--south jersey has it's own types---the whole state is worthless---live in fl now and never own up to having lived in nj---this show will be more dramatic and emotional because they are mixing in family vibes
I'm from New York, and I've lived in New Jersey. There are wealthy housewifes in both states who have class, dignity, intelligence, etc. but you won't see them doing a show like the this - so the producers dig up what they can and who is willing, without class or shame, etc. Do you really think these two shows represent real housewifes from NY & NJ. I watch for the fun of it, and I feel really sorry for these women on the show, because they don't see themselves the way the t.v. viewers see them, then again, they don't care. They are only interested in being seen, noticed, and think they are celebrities - as if that is something to aspire to.
I'm an Italian women born and raised in Bergen County and I just want the rest of America to know that we are NOT all like the way these women are.The show looked like the it was a casting call for a Sopranos reunion. I for one am so tired of the stereotypical way we are portrayed in shows such as this it's no wonder people think of NJ as the "armpit" of America. And for the record,. because these women who own The Brownstone are so unpleasant, I will never have a party or any other kind of function there. I would rather go The Manor in West Orange or Seasons in Westwood. At least going to those other banquet halls you don't have to worry about locking your car doors if you make a wrong turn. I watch the OC housewives and the NY ones. I won't be watching this.
OMG! This show was crazeeeee. I would hate to have any of these women as my sister in laws. Talk about Boss Ladies. I thought is was a female spoof of the Sopranos. How about the credits with the chick pushing over the table and the line I have to hate you first before I like you lets get real.
You could put lipstick on a pig it still does not make it a lady.
Will be looking foward to hear a buzz word to play the patrone shot game.
PS Would love a tshirt with happy wife happy life...great line
