Bethenny who? The Real Housewives of New York City's Jill Zarin recently hung out with AOL's PopEater at the Gansevoort Park Hotel and set the record straight about her now extinct friendship with... What's her name?
"The truth is, I don't even remember being friends with her anymore," Jill says about the Bethenny Ever After star. "You know, when I see her picture and when I see her on TV, I don't even remember our relationship. Which kinda says something."
But what about that summer spent together in the Hamptons? And going Big Apple apartment hunting together back when Bethenny was dating the original Jason? Were those happy times all for nothing? "It was a TV romance," the Skweez Couture creator says about their time together on RHONYC. "People thought we came into the show with that romance. We didn't. We fell in love on TV."
Although the two gave us slight hope for a reconciliation when they hugged it out during last year's reunion episode, it looks like the ship has forever sailed for Jethenny. "I thought the friendship was real," Jill reminisces. "Clearly it was not."
In the words of a Jewish mother: Oy!

I dunno, Jill. It helps mend hurt feeling to say a relationship wasn't real once it is over. But sometimes really good friendships end because one of the friends ruins it (by doing things that they should not do). From what I saw that is what happened in this case. I think you broke friendship rules big time with Bethenny, and you lost that friendship because she finally stopped taking it. I am not an anti-Jill Zaren person, by the way. I am crazy about you on RHONY, and I would hang out with you. I would just wear my armor to protect myself!
i keep giving my comments but Bravo seems to ignore me perhaps this time they will print this! I believe this is just jealousy. Sometimes friendships don't last a "lifetime" only a shortime, but that doesn't mean you dismiss all those feelings and experiences that you shared. Didn't B dedicate one of her books to you and Bobby? wasn't that "real". i think you see that she is such a success now and you can't handle the fact that you are not in her life so you have to dismiss everything that you both shared together. You can't get over the fact that she didn't beg to be your friend again. B decided that to go on with her life she (in your words) "got rid of toxicity" and you CANNOT believe she went through with it.
Jill- I think you're great. But, I also think you're fallible like the rest of us and you've fallen prey to your own ego. You basically run your friendships very one-sided. People have to jump when you say jump in order to be in your "circle." You don't really have a lot of empathy or think about other people's feelings. If you want "real" friends, that's what's required. Bethenny is a real girl, through and through. So, the things you say about her just don't ring true. I think you want them to be true to assuage your own conscience. You threw away someone who is loyal, caring and committed. That's on you.
Meh, I think Jill is far more real than Bethanney. From my observations of Bethenney she appears to be narcissistic. I've known people like that. They are your best friend while they get what they want from your friendship. When they've gotten what they need - they cut you loose. They feed off of other people. I certainly understand what Jill means when she says their friendship was not real. It wasn't, it was just Bethanney feeding on another person until she got whatever it was she needed. Unfortunately Jill is probably just one of many who have been treated this way by Bethanney.
Jealously, pettiness, revenge, and gossip are the clothes you wear. Time to update your closet!! Those characteristics are so last year! Try not to be the center of attention.
are you kidding me?? What Jill fails to realize is that when she and B became friends, B wasn't as busy as she eventually became. B had a lot more "time" to bs with Jill, shop with Jill and spend weekends with Jill. As B's brand grew she had less and less time to devote to Jill. Then B met Jason. Anyone who has been in a relationship knows that the beginning is so special. You want to be with that person more than your friends beause you are getting to know each other and you are learning about that person and you are BUILDING a relationship with that person. Jill has been in a marriage to Bobby for awhile, the Zarin business is ALREADY an established business. If Jill were to stop working at Zarin's for a month, it would NOT effect the business - it would still be there! Jill's daughter was in her late teens. You are not comparing apples to apples. They were at different points in their lives. So when B told Jill "You need to get a hobby" she was basically telling Jill that she doesn't have as much time as she used to have and when she does have the time it is not going to be about Jill, Jill, Jill all the time. If Jill had not blown it all out of proportion, we would not be having this discussion. But that Is Jill. It is all about her and what she wants when she wants it. Look back at the past seasons of RHONY and you will see a pattern.
I totally agree. jill took e verything personal. B. was telling her to get a hobby, she needed one or she was trying to suck B. dry and she was having none of that!!! Do not even want to watch the show now that B is not on it...Terry
Did you not watch the show??? Bethenny is a strong assertive women who clearly has a big heart. We as American's are narcissistic. We live in an individualistic society in case you haven't heard. If you've watched her show you would know how loving and caring for other people. Do some research on Narcissism, cause she is a woman of today. Clearly you are a JIll fan and you are prejudice. Bethernny is more real than Jill could ever be. She screwed Bethernny over. Your a moron
I really did like Jill at one time, but she wants to be number one. Calling saying why not me, anytime someone got an offer to do something. And her acting like nothing is wrong with Kelly come on the girls got a screw loose. It makes me question anyones sanity when they say she is fine just fine. Bethanney is a long way from being perfect but compared to Kelly,Jill,The Countess and Ramona she's a saint.
