It was a moment that will forever live in pop culture infamy: Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift's VMA speech to declare that Beyonce should have won the award instead, leaving Taylor's jaw dropped and turning the public against him for ruining her moment. Taylor eventually recovered (as did Kanye), but Kathy Griffin wishes she was on the receiving end of the classic "I'mma let you finish..." tirade.
During an Extra interview on Wednesday, Kathy was asked her thoughts about Kim Kardashian and Kanye, and while she thinks "the whole relaationship seems like a photo op," she then went even further. "I wish he had done that Taylor Swift thing to me, because now she can kill puppies and people think she's wonderful and adorable because of one time when Kanye, like my mother, had too much Hennessy."
It's not that Kathy's been struggling of late -- she received an Emmy nomination for her stand-up special Tired Hooker, and she already seems to be polishing up her next celebrity focused comedy routine if this interview is any indication. Calling the Kristen Stewart-Robert Pattinson cheating scandal a "dream come true," Kathy says that Kristen played it all wrong.
"Doesn't she know anything about Hollywood? Lie, Lie and stand by your lie."
As for Mariah Carey joining the American Idol judging panel, K declares it's "going to be a bag of crazy," and she's really hoping/waiting "to see her in a tiara."
Kathy you are way better then the Kim. I have watched all your shows on Bravo and find you a brilliant comedy, you make me giggle and your mom is a riot. I have a 88 year old mother in law and she is a blast, we spend hour taking about history, politics and many more. It is too bad that she is handicapped for I know she would be a spit fire. Anything the Kardasians do is a photo op or just plain a put on. Mariah is a bit past her prime, so it is not unexpected that she would try a program like American Idol, to potentially boost up her presents and career. I am so tired of these Idols’ like shows, which are crowding out quality entertainment. I am very afraid most of the reality shows will be at the end of their run. Hunter
