No joke – Kathy Griffin (of all people!) recently felt her tongue get tied when a certain celebrity floated by.

"When I saw Meryl freakin' Streep walk by, I about lost it," the host of the upcoming show Kathy confesses to UsWeekly. So what made the usually outlandish comedian so subdued? "I never thought in my lifetime I would see her in person. I was too shy to say anything."

The D-Lister was attending AARP Magazine's 11th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards -- as Sharon Stone's date -- when she spotted the Oscar winning living legend in the flesh. "I just kept looking at her like she was an objet d'art or something. I'm sure she thought I was a lunatic."

But Kathy wasn't the only celeb recently coming down with starstruck fever. Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath spilled the details of his Housewives obsession to Wendy Williams. "There's a real heart and soul to the Jersey Housewives that some of the others don't have." So who are his favorite Jersey-ites? "Any guy that calls his own manhood Tarzan, I'm stoked on you right now, I'm watching your reality show," Mark said before the pretty and petite Melissa and Joe Gorga surprised him on The Wendy Williams Show.
