We all know Kathy Griffin does a bang up job as an award show host. (See opening musical number for this year's A-List Awards below.) Her next hosting role will have fewer onstage lesbian kisses (presumably). The gig? Host of the 2009 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards!

Golly, it feels like only yesterday our Kathy was accepting her very own schmemmy, dropping F-bombs and threatening to get it on with her gold statuette. How does producer Spike Jones, Jr. feel about the red-headed dynamo as host? "We're thrilled as Kathy's the first Emmy winner to host the Creative Arts show." He forgot to mention that Kathy is also the first Emmy winner to tell Jesus to suck it. But whatevs. "She stole the show the last two years, so now, we’re giving her the opportunity to officially hijack it. We’re all very, very excited. And just a little bit scared." And that's about as close to a ringing endorsement as Kathy's gonna get! Congrats, Kathy!
