It's a good thing Kim Zolciak isn't one to do as she's told. "I was warned by everybody: 'Don't date (Kroy Biermann), he's an NFL player, don't date him,'" the Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells iVillage about life before becoming Mrs. Biermann. In addition to those pro athlete stereotypes, Kim also tackled a six year age difference.

"I had never dated somebody younger in my life," she says. "[Kroy] was 24 when I met him, but he's really mature. There aren't a lot of guys at 24 who would step into a commitment with someone who has children. That's a sacrifice. And I just think Kroy is definitely wise beyond his age."

Indeed. Kroy's defensive end might have grabbed Kim's attention, but it was his maturity that ultimately hooked the "Tardy for the Party" singer. "After I met him, he just sent me a text that said, 'It was really great to meet you. I'll be in touch.' Some guys, when you meet them, they try to play it cool for a couple days. But Kroy just sent me that text. And, honestly, people always say you just know when you meet The One. And almost immediately I just knew."
