Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens: Live has a not-so-secret admirer in Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie has decided to give her new show on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network a makeover, one that has a very Clubhouse vibe.
Rosie tells The Hollywood Reporter, "I was a guest on Andy Cohen's show Watch What Happens Live recently and I loved the homey feel of his set and the intimacy of his smaller audience." (THR mentions that Andy's space is "a key ingredient to the success of his low-budget late-night series on
Bravo.")
Rosie's Chicago-based show's moving into a much smaller 70-seat studio, to create a more intimate vibe. The set'll be festooned with her own art and photos and is allegedly inspired by the art studio she has in her house in New York. She also just got a new executive producer, who worked for her previously on The Rosie O'Donnell Show and for Rachael Ray as well.
Rosie clearly admires Andy's hosting chops, too, adding, "I wanted to re-create that laid-back feeling, less about performing for a huge audience and more about having a one-on-one conversation."
