When the Bravo van full of Cheftestants rolled into Singapore for part one of the D.C. finale, Live Chatterers from across the country hitchhiked close behind to play their part in covering the epic battle between this year's fearsome final foursome.
Right away chatterers took the floor with comments aplenty about Angelo's potential for an edge in the competition due to his penchant for Asian cooking. Take OliveAnne who hated on the location for that very reason. "I so wish it was any place but Singapore," she said. "It gives Asian Man Angelo an advantage since that is all he cooks." But West Coast chatterer and self-professed Gail Simmons superfan Mark begged to differ "I love Singapore. If anyone has a chance to go..GO! EAT AND EAT AND EAT!" Chatroom clown Mimi was more philosophical, wondering, "…what the curve ball will be when they arrive in Singapore?"
Tiffany's much lamented exit last week had left most chatterers split on whom to call their new favorite. Shelly captured the mood when she said, "I think I'm rooting for Ed now, but I'm undecided." East Coaster OliveAnne presaged a fight to the end when she so sagely said, "Cooking is like basketball. A lot can happen at the very end. Things can change." But wait, Olive. Don't the Lakers always win?
I am not going to watch this show again. They always pick the person who will win before the final cooking challenge. Ed is going to win - as we all know. I'm am really upset they didn't make one of the guys go home. This show sucks.
At first I was really rooting for Ed. But lately, he has become a jerk. True he doesn't like Angelo (and quite frankly no one has to like anyone they are competing against.) But Ed's attitude has decidedly taken a turn for the worst. He could be a gracious winner - instead all he cares about is beating Angelo. I hope he goes down in flames at the finale. I'm not crazy about Kevin either. His temper seems to be his worst enemy. And while Angelo rubs some people the wrong way he was no different than anyone else proclaiming they are going to win. I wish Kelly had not gone home - it should have been Kevin. What a wuss - couldn't even bait a fishing hook!
I am really disappointed in Ed's attitude. It used to be about winning Top Chef, now it seems to be only about beating Angelo. Ed's become a real jerk. I hope he goes down in flames at the finale. Kevin isn't much better with his temper. And what a wuss - he couldn't even bait his hook or take the prawn off! Kelly had to do it. I was sorry to see Kelly go - Kevin should have left instead. As for Angelo - well even though he cooks Aisan apparently he's not a shoe in. As for Angelo being cocky the first show saying how he was going to win every challange - what chef didn't at one timr or another say they were going to win. It should be an interesting finale - I hope the judges make a good decision.
I was so surprised to see my name. I so recommend the Live Chat to all the Bravo Fans. It is very upbeat and so many funny one liners that you can share the next day at the water cooler. Plus, you are with a group of people who understand when you cannot stop yourself from adding pea puree to the converstation. Now the funniest chat was 'Does Angelo use protection when he makes love to the food"? OliveAnne Florida Fan
Was that intense or what. Sad to see Kelly leave. All TC fans should do the live chat. It is so upbeat and fun. You will have a supply of one-liners for the water cooler in the morning. I so enjoy chatting while watching the show. Who else but TC fans can understand "pea puree" jokes, and RW. Will be interested in the Bubble Talk next week - am I saying that right?

I'm enjoying the show, but would have enjoyed it better had Kelly not been sent home...
Any chance of getting Ed's Banana chili fritter recipe???? Sounded tasty!
Enjoying the show - would be enjoying it more had Kelly not been sent home....
Any chance of gretting Ed's Banana Chili Fritter recipes? Sounded tasty.
This is my third try in trying to post a comment today - maybe three is a charm. I like Ed - he is in it to win, so yes he played it so he looked good. When Angelo had immunity he made celery and peanut butter - which person is TC material? What would Angelo be like coming back as a sous chef during the final four in a furture season? I wouldn't want him. Everytime he "helps" someone they PTK.
Was watching a taped Iron Chef with the secret ingredient of oatmeal to my surprise saw Ed cooking on the Chef Cora side.... Guess I must have missed hearing about this sooner
My husband and I have watched Top Chef faithfully (okay, obsessively) since its inception, and it is obvious that the one characteristic needed for a Top Chef is a penis. Little girls who aspire to be chefs will get the clear message that they had better bone up on their table waiting (or at best, prep cook) skills, because they lack that essential ingredient. You have lost 2 viewers, and I'm sure we're not the only ones. I can't believe female chefs still bother to audition for the show when they have no chance of winning. I know you had a token female winner a few years ago, but it is now obvious that she was just that, a token.
I'm just sad that potential great young female chefs -- who look to shows like Top Chef for inspiration and validation, will find neither.
I'm thinking that since Ed is working as a sous chef...along side of Richard Blaise...then Ed is NOT Top Chef. I saw an article in a local newspaper that Kevin had quit his job at Rat's. Coupled with what appears to be a sick Angelo.....I am thinking that maybe Kevin IS Top Chef!
Hey GeorgieG, The show you are talking about with Ed and Richard as sous chefs for Iron Chef America was filmed a year ago. Yet my TV Guide listed it as a new show. Ed tweeted me after I had said about the same thing you said. How does that Bubble Talk work? Do we still log in like the Live Chat or do we just go to Twitter - if Twitter which site? I need answers - I am afraid that I will spend the last show trying to Bubble Talk and not enjoy the show or the chat. I always sign off before they annouce the winner - I tape the show and like to watch it again at my own pace. Rewinding when I want an instant replay. While looking forward to the Final it is bitter sweet - Final Show - no more TC DC - sad. I have enjoyed all seasons and other spin offs with cooking theme. So heres hoping that Just Desserts is a winner. Someone said on the Live Chat that I would be licking the TV screen since I am diabetic. LOL OliveAnne FloridaFan
Counting down till the Final episode. Hope I am able to do the Bubble Talk sounds like fun. This is a double header tonight. We watch the Final TC and then for dessert - we watch "Just Desserts". Looks like an entertaining evening. I always get a little sad to see a season end. BravoTV is good about bringing fan favorites back to future shows. Thank You.
