Teresa Giudice's 'Celebrity Apprentice' Inspiration

How an 8-year-old boy motivated her to make a difference.

By Lauren Metz

With Sunday's debut of The Celebrity Apprentice, Teresa Giudice has officially started fighting the good fight, and she recently explained why on her blog. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star said that she chose to compete for The NephCure Foundation "because a little boy I know has kidney disease. It's not very well known or very well funded, and I really want to help him and make a difference. It's a great organization and I'd love for you to check them out! Xx"

The NephCure Foundation is a national non-profit organization based outside of Philadelphia whose mission is "to fund research that seeks the cause, cure and effective treatments for the kidney disease Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and Nephrotic Syndrome."

"Children are suffering from these diseases and there is no cure," the RHONJ star says in an announcement touting her support of the charity. "NephCure is a dynamic organization that helps patient families living with FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome. I am honored to be associated with NephCure and hope that my involvement in The Celebrity Apprentice leads to hope for the thousands of patients who are suffering from these diseases."

With so much at stake, you don't want to get in this Jersey fireball's way. "She actually flips a table, she gets so angry at a group," bossman Donald Trump spilled on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. "[Teresa's] a very calm person until she gets angry. And then she's nasty, but she's terrific!"
