The Countess Shakes Her Head at Anne Hathaway's Weight Loss

Extreme dieting for a job = no-no in LuAnn's book.

Apr 26, 2012

LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York City
Anne Hathaway, is that you? The 29-year-old beauty chopped her hair and went on an intense diet all in the name of playing Fantine, a tuberculosis-stricken prostitute, in the film adaptation of Les Miserables.

“It’s never a good idea to risk your health for your job but serious actors like Anne Hathaway often alter their appearances for roles,” The Real Housewives of New York City’s LuAnn de Lesseps states in her weekly “What Would the Countess Do?” column for OK! Magazine. “In general, I strongly caution against yo-yo dieting because losing weight quickly can wreak havoc with your metabolism.”

Listen to her – prior to becoming a Wilhelmina model, Countess, and Housewife, LuAnn worked as a licensed practical nurse. So what’s the safer alternative to drastically slashing calories, L? “Instead of extreme dieting, I suggest that you exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet high in fruits and vegetables,” she says.

And what about Anne’s hack job on her hair? Two thumbs up. “As for changing your hairstyle or your wardrobe for a new job, I say go for it,” the mom of two approves.

What advice will LuAnn offer next? Keep up with this Housewife and her thoughts using our Tweet Tracker.

Please only air ONE HW series at a time!!! I have had to abandon MANY series bc too much to watch!!!

Who cares what she thinks? Actors do what they have to for a part, and when Countess wins academy award she can have an opinion.

Exercise and eat a balanced diet? Well now thank goodness she cleared that up for us......duh!

i ADORE Countess Lulu !! i take her advice to heart, just LOOK AT HOW STUNNING our Countess is!!
