What happens when you take five housewives on a tropical weekend away from the city? Apparently, non-stop catfights. Either Kelly has a lot of built up frustrations with Bethenny, or... well, who are we kidding? There really isn't another scenario.
Last night on Real Housewives of NYC, Ramona took her gal pals down to the Virgin Islands for some bachelorette party fun on their own private yacht. But even though Ramona did her best to meet Sonia's need of luxury, and her own need of pinot grigio, it was Kelly who found a way to spoil the mood and stir up drama. And Ramona thought that JIll and LuAnn were the buzzkill combo.
Whether it was a comment about stomping grapes taken the wrong way, or a moment of gossip between friends, Kelly made sure to halt any and all conversations and turn them into a personal attack against the other housewives. Her main target? Bethenny Frankel. And all this time we thought it was Jill Zarin who was the big, bad bully. It looks like Kelly Bensimon has intercepted the title this week.
Following Alex's lead from the past few weeks, but short of a high school reference and a near horizontal storm off, Kelly set those old frustrations free in a not so private setting. What could be the need for such a display? Maybe Kelly is jealous of Bethenny's success. Or maybe she's jealous of each of the housewives' ability to feel? Or is it that she's just tired of standing on the sidelines of these arguments only to add in a "that's creepy" comment here and there?
If it's the latter, Kelly succeeded at making her own scene this week. From disregarding Bethenny's feelings about the loss of her father, to an accusation that Bethenny is not a real chef, Kelly attacked at full force. (That is, until she realized she was on a boat and had no where to go.)
These housewives better be careful. If they get too much off their chests, they might not be allowed back on the Hooters Patrol yacht.
I'm not sure what set Kelly off; or why she would even go on the trip in the first place. She doesn't get along with anyone except Sonja. However, the things she said to Bethenny were exactly what I thought all along. In an early blog Bethenny stated that she had no formal training in cooking and had never worked in a professional kitchen. Regarding the loss of her father: she had repeatedly claimed that she had no relationship with him at any time. She even referred to his illness as "nonsense" to be ignored. Last ep, she said that she had no guilt and could close the door on it. Therefore, her tears seem manipulative to the casual observer. Alex repeated her line "those that aren't here will not be missed" several times before it was heard. It seemed scripted. Only Ramona seemed spontaneous, per usual. Since the trip was FOR HER, it made sense that she get some attention. But, no, the cameras preferred to focus on poor, pitiful Bethenny and her house of woes.
I think Kelly needs to get real with life. She always say's she don't want any problems but she starts most of them. I think she is crazy and I hate watching her.
"There really isn't another scenario" for Kelly's antics? Um, really? How about that she's the freakin' mayor of CrazyTown?
I haven't seen the last show yet....however; I will tonight. I'm only going to say this....Kelly must have felt left out of something and the attention wasn't on her so she had to put it on her. Everyone knows she is a dizzy and crazy broad and don't give a flying rats behind what she thinks or feels!!!!!!!!!!! I really think she needs help.
I adore Jill! I know that even New York has yentas and she is the Queen Yenta in my book. But one of the special traits she and Bobby has is ALL the charity events they host or sponsor, and I am sure that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg of what they donate. Bobby is dedicated to his girls, and I am positive that Jill and Allison love Bobby with all their hearts. Cancer in any part of the body is horrible, and to see Bobby getting back on his feet is wonderful! Bobby is a very wise and humble man.
Having watched LuAnn and Sophia on What's Happening? really helped me to understand why she swept Jill from Ramona's apartment. None of the viewers (me included) knew that she had more places to go to. We thought that she was running interference between Jill and Bethanney. AND we did not know that LuAnn is very musically inclined. I would have wished that she would have had time to belt out "Hey Big Spender"! Great Voice, LuAnn! Romancing on camera is not for LuAnn and I applaud her. She has teenage children and she must remember what example she is setting with the children's friends. Bravo! LuAnn! Bravo!
Doesn't anyone remember all of the $hitty comments Bethenny made, and still DOES make about Kelly? She was NEVER nice to Kelly, she always had a chip on her shoulder, she even said that "it makes you a piece of $hit" on the reunion show. But everyone is supposed to forget that, because Bethenny is pregnant and wants to be nice? Then sincerely apologize to people you have wronged and own it like a woman. And if she is so broke up over her father's death, why the he!! did she go on a bachelorette weekend four days later? She plays the victim when it's convenient, but has enough energy to party when the cameras are on.
I think when kelly wants to argue with the ladies she needs to know exactly what she wants to say at times when she opens her mouth she sounds like she is from outer space, for Jill and the Countess especially Jill I think she is a little jealous of the success of Bethenny. Those ladies need to get over it and worry about the world around them.
Also, to the person who said that Bethany has said bad stuff about Kelly in the past...which of those women hasn't said stuff about the others? I don't even understand why any of them are friends at all. They all talk behind each other's backs.
Seems like Jill, Lulu and Kelly are all in competition for the Mayor of Crazy Town this season! They are all self-centered prima donnas and need to be brought down a few notches.
I hope that the rest of the housewives stay outside the tent at this crazy 3-ring circus!
I'd like to know exactly where they went! It is breath taking, like their catty comments, but not really.
I think that all of these women are to blame at some point, but Kelly loves to say that she doesnt involve herself in drama yet she has been starting a lot of drama!!!!! The worst part is that she thinks shes never wrong!!
To those who say if Bethany was so broken up about her father's death why did she go. Because....
she didn't say she was deblitated. How is she suppose to act and do. She shouldn't have boarded a plane and go on a yacht because her dad died. I don't understand, what was she suppose to do. Should her life just stop. What an idiotic comment.

Great overview and glad to see Bravo recognizing the crazy and who it belongs to. Jill and Kelly and LuAnn are trying to blame their awful behavior on editing, but you can't make these mean women say and do the things they are doing. They just need to own it.
LOVED the show last night without Jill and having the ladies on the yacht in a lovely locale (aside from Kelly's crazy). Loved Ramona's caring side for Bethenny! Love B, Alex and Ramona together - oh, and Sonja too!!
