The documentary and ode-to-real estate excess 'The Queen of Versailles' makes its TV premiere tonight at 9 pm.

on Apr 29, 2013 - The Dish0

The 2012 Sundance hit The Queen of Versailles is making its cable TV debut tonight at 9/8C on Bravo. The film follows billionaires Jackie and David Siegel as they embark upon the construction of the largest home in America (Ryan, Michael, and Fredrik would be proud, this home could be the combination of every listing from Season 1 of Million Dollar Listing New York combined).

The couple made their fortune from their Westgate Resorts time-share business, and used the money to build a 90,000 square foot home modeled after the palace of Versailles in France. But when the economy crashed, tanking their business along with it, they were forced to put their plans -- and their dream home -- on hold. Basically Jackie was building a Real Housewives-worthy nest, and then the Siegels found themselves staring down the barrel of bankruptcy. So what we're saying is basically it's a must-watch.

Check out the trailer below, and tune in tonight to learn all about the rise and fall of the Siegel fortune.

And how about that slippery statement that HE basically got Bush elected by "illegal" means?

What a country we live live in.

i do not care about their vanty, lack of taste, or anything at all about these people.  wat i do care about is how careless and insensitive they were regarding their pets/deaths/abuse.  i am vry diappointed that bravo allowed such callous behavior to even be shown.  yes, i am an animal lover, but to excuse such behavior from your vapid children, while your obvious focus is grotesque breasts and lack of taste.  get rid of this show.  i immediately changed the channel!

Who cares about this horrible self centered self absorbed modern day Marie Antoinette. Not me. I'm leaving Bravo when she is on.

@rboy15601 The taxidermy was a freakish act....totally turned these people into weirdos....as a pet owner who has had to put pets down....cannot imagine under no circumstances that I would resort to this....there is definitely something amiss with these two...after seeing the deceased pet sprawled across the piano behind the old dude, it was obvious why the house of cards fell....on another note....this guy David is clearly delusional....tv producers love people like him, put a camera in their face and all kinds of crazy falls out of their mouth...it is no telling what he laid claim to on camera....after 55 , brain cells will deplete and this guy was way past that age.....
