The Dish

Ever have that dream where Tom Colicchio is in your house cooking dinner for you and all your friends?

Well, now that dream can be a reality. Tom is auctioning off a private dinner for 12 to be cooked in an NYC home. That means the Top Chef judge and his team could be cookin' up a feast for you at your friends at your next dinner party.

Tom is giving you this fabulous opportunity for a great cause too. He's joined forces with Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation ART FOR LIFE gala to auction off the prize. Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation provides urban youth access to the arts and offers exhibition opportunities to artists of color and unrepresented artists. It was formed by the Danny, Russell, and Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons of Run DMC.

There are over 90 items currently up for auction, but we think a private dinner from Tom sounds pretty appetizing...

To learn about the auction and to bid go HERE.

And if you happen to win, remember we told you! Hey, we've had that dream too.

How about a charity/financial assistance for kids from families who are not able to send their kids to school/college because their parents are teachers and cannot earn enough money to afford it? We are middle America... We teach and work every day of our lives helping/raising every other person's kids, tons at a time, year after year, yet, when OUR kids get to that age, we cannot get any financial aid and we lose our homes trying to take loans and finance our own kids' educations. We are the forgotten Americans.. who educate YOUR kids, but, our kids get nothing.. We have the same education that we paid for ourselves, as the corporate world, but, we never earn enough to educate our own kids and the gov't. claims we earn too much? We make a little above poverty in many states and our kids get nothing..so, we go into hick for the rest of our lives trying to educate our own kids after educating all of yours and many of yours get the scholarships, financial aid, or free education because you are a little below us on the income scale or are a "minority" or live in an urban area where WE teach your kids? Frustrating... No wonder no one wants to teach any longer...
