I have to dissagree with bothered watcher as well! It was a great plot twist for the chefs. And what is unfair is watching good chef's going home and seeing a chef like Robin, who has her own talents, but is far less equipped than other chefs this season! This season is amazing and the talent is captivating. Im jealous of the judges! Seeing some of these chefs do what they do best, ahhhhh if only!!

Everyone will watch the Top Chef finale. It won't matter where it is or whether it is a vegetarian dish. I think it is time for TOP CHEF Charlotte. The Queen City is waiting. We have a Restaurant Depot, we have great locations.... I am ready... Charlotte is ready. Bring Top Chef to CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA!!!!!

As a seasoned TC viewer, starting at Season 1, I thought the "plot twist" at Craftsteak was on par with what has done in the past. In fact, I thought it was a hilarious twist that I figured out from the trailer.
Also, don't chefs have to cater to needs of their customers? It was a great challenge separating out the posers of the group. Sounds like if some viewers had their way it would be boring shows where chefs just do what they know... It might as well be Top Scallop or Top Ceviche. Yawn.

Thought last night's "Reunion Dinner" was a complete waste of time - I think I would have rather seen a rerun on ANYTHING. A traditional reunion show hosted by Andy would have been better.
Watching people sitting around eating is not my idea of fun - and the choice of Fabio as the host (with his wooden delivery - he seemed like he was reciting questions from a teleprompter) was very tiresome. I know he was last season's fan favorite, but I did not enjoy him in this role.
Bravo, if you're queueing him up as a host for a new series, rethink it! I don't think he has the "chops!"

To "A Bothered Watcher" -
I think the point of the episode was for the chefs to demonstrate their agility and having to turn a plan around on a dime. I'm not a vegan, but I know plenty, and I know how hard it is for them to get a decent meal at a nice restaurant.
If the chefs are only asked to cook what they already know how to do really well, then they don't get to demonstrate how creative and versatile they are, and we probably wouldn't enjoy the show so much.

Napa? What is WRONG with you people? Have you no imagination?
In Season 1, the pivotal episode was shot in Napa. The finale in Las Vegas. This season it's the reverse. Been there, done that!
It would be nice if your location scouts could look for some place new and original.

Honestly I do not agree with bothered watcher, the element of surprise makes the show interesting. Sure it is nice to watch the chefs cook their own styles and the food they love to do, but isn’t that what we are already treated to with other culinary TV shows? Honestly I have been a watcher since season 4 and I enjoy it so much. Once again it is a different take on cooking shows. You have been watching the show for 3 seasons so there’s obviously a reason why you keep watching it. The show in my opinion is great and I can’t wait every week to see the new episode. But anyway this is not a forum about whether or not we like the show; it is a post to tell the reader where the final episode is. In the end have respect for what they do each and every episode, I may not be a chef but I know what they are doing is difficult at least respect what they do even if you don’t like it.

I have watched the show from the start and love each episode. Part of being a great chef is about facing challenges each day. Sometimes you find yourself in a situation and need to do something on the fly. Some of these challenges are tests of the contestants skills, creativity and improvisational skills. How will they react to difficult and unplanned situations? It is easy to go into a fully stocked kitchen and prepare a meal. It is a true test of someone's skills when they are taken out of their element and must perform under adverse conditions.

I live in Las Vegas and there are great restaurants to have the chefs work in and display their cooking abilities. There are not that many vegetarians our there. Lots of Asian and Mexican and South American restaurants have opened up in the last few. The M Resort that was their base on the show is a fabulous place but there are many great restaurants not far from the Las Vegas strip. The season was fun and having my home town made it even better.

And I agree w/Bothered Watcher - insane is what it was!!! And some of these challenges - you're trying to be Top Chef - not Houdini or some magician - true chefs always have food & cooking accomodations available to them. I'm not sure why we have to see what they'll whip up in the middle of nowhere on a camp fire or watch them cook a vegetarian meal. They're chef's for God's sake- quit insulting them and let them cook a freakin' meal!

Dear Top Chef,
After watching the show for more than 3 seasons now, I can't understand why you took the chefs to Tom Colicchio's steak restaurant and asked them them to prepare a vegetarian meal for some little known starlet? Is this some way to see if they can cook something disgusting, when they could have had access to some of the best meat and seafood in Las Vegas????? I'm getting tired of watching good chefs' talents wasted on stupid vegan dishes, so some actress can impress her friends! Sorry, but I thought the episode was ignorant, and not fair to these chefs!!!Sincerely,
A Bothered Watcher
