They may have reconciled their differences in the finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but that doesn't mean the Gorgas and Giudices spend every holiday together.
But just because the Giudices and the Gorgas didn't cozy up for some turkey and stuffing doesn't mean there's discord between the families, who have worked extremely hard to make peace after years of brawling.
"We honestly haven't spent Thanksgiving together," Melissa told the NYDN. "We try to do Easter and Christmas with them. Joe and I usually go away for Thanksgiving or spend it with my family. We went to Jamaica last year too."
Do you think the two families should have spent the holidays together? Tell us in the comments.
What? Do you care if I spend Thanksgiving with my husbands sisters family? NO? then thats my answere!
seriously....your family is in trouble...and you went to jamaica! sister christian.....CLOSE RANKS! forget about who did what to who.....if someone doesn't love you or doesn't love you the way you want them to love you...YOU STILL LOVE THEM. could the money spent on going to jamaica have been better spent on helping your sister in law and her family...yes....i'm asking you TO DO WHAT JESUS WOULD HAVE DONE. not spending the holidays with your family...all of them....NOT GOOD!
No, I don't think that...It's NOBODYS BUSSINESS.
I wish people (Press, Article Writers, Even Facebook does this)
would stop asking the alternative answer to the question. Melissa states..No we don't spend thanksgiving with The Giudices.
There you Go...It's her answer.
Why??? Would anybody ask, anyone to weigh in on this by commenting BELOW.
Vacationing on a beach, eating and drinking wingettes, fries and margaritas from the beach grill isn't what most would consider Thanksgiving dinner with family, but whatever floats your boat Melissa. There's been a lot of cris-cross with 'Housewives from different shows lately, so I thought it was ironic when I read Yolanda Foster's blog this week...made me think of Melissa, her pseudo-singing career, and her failed attempts at being an author.
Quote from Yolanda - "It’s sad that people forget sometimes that there is a whole legitimate world of artists and actors out there that work their entire life, every day on perfecting their craft, but yet don't get any acknowledgement for their extraordinary commitment to their profession.
Some might be working on "being famous" but my husband still works seven days a week to stay relevant in the music industry and trump his own lifetime achievements."
Maybe they should have spent Thanksgiving together, since it may have been their last opportunity to be together to share Thanksgiving as a family for a long time. But then again, if they really don't get along with each other, it may be best that they celebrated apart. Whatever decisions they make, it should be based on whatever is best for the children.
Let me think about it for a minute, spend the Holiday in cold New Jersey with a couple who only like you when it's necessary, or in front of the cameras, or the warm sunny beaches of Jamaica?? I think my bags would be packed before I finished answering that question. This is probably the last chance to get away before they start filming the next season for 6-8 months, so why spend it in Jerzey? Besides, depending on where they are sentenced, they can visit the Giudices any time during regular visiting hours. This will just give Teresa one more thing to hold against the Gorgas during the season. I guess that's a good thing since the rest of Teresa's excuses for hating Melissa are getting old.
@lorenzo.epps.5 JESUS would never enable any of us - so this means, that we should never enable anyone we know, whether it's family or not. As for the Gorgas loving their family, it's obvious they do but sometimes we have to pull away sometimes and get to ourselves - this is what the Gorgas did - and besides we don't have to be around family at every holiday - the Gorgas do have 2 families - her family and his family. As for the money they used to go to Jamaica, it would never have been spent more wisely if given to the Guidices because Teresa does not spend wisely - and everyone knows this - so why give her money. Her own husband has said that you can't tell Teresa to not spend - and he's the leader of this family - so it's Teresa's fault they are in criminal proceedings - since she has not listened to her husband who is the leader of this family. Even Jesus had to get away himself - so this is never what Jesus would have done - and he sure would never enable anyone.
@lorenzo.epps.5 did teresa ever ask herself " what God want me to do " when she had all that hate towards Melissa her sister in law bashing her and let's not forget all the hurt she caused her brother and parents by going out if her way to to maliciously hurt them.....? No she didn't she couldn't ever find it in her Heart to truly apologize for all the pain she caused. Melissa is protecting her family by staying as far away from Teresa and Joe as possible and good for them, Drama free
