Forget hiring private eye or snooping in your partner’s phone. A new mattress will give you the low down on your partner’s extracurricular love life—if they have one.
A new invention called the Smartress is about to sell out cheaters who are dumb enough (and brave enough) to bring their lovers home.
Spanish mattress maker Dumet created the high-tech bed, equipped with 24 ultrasonic sensors that create a 3D map of the mattress to show where there is greater pressure and what movement is taking place in real time. It then shows the user over a mobile app exactly what is going down, no matter where they are in the world. In other words, you’re caught, even if your partner didn’t walk in on you.
Durmet spokesman Jose Antonio Muinos told The Sun the idea was born after investors read a study about cheating in Europe, and found that Spain, specifically Madrid, had the highest infidelity rates.
“We came up with the idea after we saw the figures on infidelity that said Spaniards were the most unfaithful in Europe,” Jose says. “It is a concept that will bring peace of mind to men and women, not just during the night but also during the day while they are out at work and when the bed should not really be being used. On the outside it is just a normal looking and very comfortable mattress, but inside hides some cutting-edge technology.”
He adds the mattress is projected to sell well internationally because of its objective, “to catch cheating partners.”
So, if your husband or wife suddenly ships home a brand new bed, beware. The company promises “utmost confidentiality” with the brand name when customers purchase it online.
