When chokers and platform shoes rose again, we claimed Spice Girls style was back. But, let's be real: the band's intoxicating girl power never really went away. (Dissenters: shush.) Case in point: Who could watch the new Victoria Beckham x Target commercial and not feel an immediate urge to sing along?
The retailer released the video yesterday, and had us humming throwback tracks for hours. (Just ask our highly annoyed coworkers!) But, we actually came here to talk about fashion. So let's get to that.
The commercial gave us a peek at the new line, which hits stores on April 9. Till then, we have an idea of what to expect. There will be black-and-white blouses with whimsical silhouettes, daisy-print dresses for little girls, silky bomber jackets with floral embroidery, and a one-shouldered, bright-orange dress. (The latter is perfect for traversing the desert with your girl squad, just FYI.)
The best news is, nothing in the collection will set you back more than $70. And, most items ring in at under $40. We can't wait to spice up our wardrobes—and dig out that Spice Up Your Life CD. Oh, gosh, remember CDs?
