Could a Derma-Roller be the Cure to Cystic Acne?

This quirky beauty device isn't as scary as it looks.

By Lookbook Staff

While beauty tools such as tweezers and eyelash curlers help you get fab results, they can also be a bit terrifying to try at first. One of the most intimidating gadgets has to be the derma-roller. For those who aren't familiar with this device, it is a skincare instrument that contains a mini roller head covered in microneedles. Sounds horrifying, right? However, many dermatologists and women swear by its abilities to help reduce wrinkles, banish puffy eyes, and promote collagen growth. It is also known to help with acne.

With the spirit of Halloween in the air, we decided to face our fears and put this scary-looking tool to the test. On this week's episode of Trend Testers, one of our resident skincare enthusiasts gives the at-home treatment a try to see if it will truly help her treat her cystic acne. Watch the video above to see the surprising results!

Trend Testers shows you what happens when we at Bravo HQ use ourselves as guinea pigs to try out the most dubious beauty crazes. Check back every Tuesday for new episodes!
