It's Oscar week 2012 at Decades. It's our busiest, merriest, and cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs time of the year.
I'm always on the hunt for great dresses during awards season. Hence my visit to Liza Mae Carlin -- one of my favorite clients. She has the most amazing closet -- um, hello that Moschino piece!
Loved that I found that Galanos dress -- I thought it would be perfect for someone at the Oscars.
Cut to: my best pal and actress Garcelle Beauvais comes in to consign an insane Tom Ford dress and to find something for the Elton John Oscar party.
I love playing dress-up with Garcelle. You could put a paper bag on her and it would be the finest paper bag in the world.
I love love love her in the final choice: Prabal Gurung. And then she invites me to grown-up prom -- the Elton John soirée. I'm so excited until wah-wah, she gets an allergic reaction 15 minutes before we have to leave. Seriously. No reality BS there! Luckily, my husband of 14 years is there to rescue the day/night. How cute is he??? We met at a car wash. So L.A., right!?
Meanwhile, Cameron has been working with Melissa McCarthy and her dress for the Oscars. So what do you think of it? Cause Cameron was not pleased with my answer!!!
Just watched the first and second episode,looks like this will be a fun show.Am looking forward to the rest of the season.
I have to admit I didn't watch the first episode, having said that I did watch the second! LOL! I think I like it! You look so familiar to me not sure where I've seen you, it will come to me when I'm not thinking about it. You and your husband look fantastic for Elton's party. Blessing on this new adventure!

Christos, OMG I love Dukes of Melrose!! What a great show! I have seriously watched the episodes over and over again! I have an eight year old daughter that has been designing dresses since she was almost 4. She absolutely has a career in design! So she looks forward to "Fashion Night" on BRAVO with me! She grabs her design book and throws something "Oscar-ish" while we watch. I wish I could show you her work. It's not what you'd think from a 8 yo. So anyway, we LOVE you and Cameron! Love, Love, LOVE that you call yourself the Robin Hood of Fashion! How fab is that!?! Well, anyway we live in CA so we'll come visit you at Decades! Maybe I'll bring some of Madeline's designs for you to see. LOL
You asked our opinion on Cameron's styling of Melissa McCarthy: we think he did great. We saw interviews with her and she said she felt so beautiful! I think that is all that matters for any woman, especially us "real" women. LOL
Anyway, you have two fans with my daughter and I. Great show!!!
