Santa Ynez could have been great. Could have been. Our trip to the organic farm (I have some photos posted on Instagram) was fantastic, and I loved picking all the fresh fruit and veggies. Even collecting fresh eggs. I have this dream one day to have a farm and source all my food off my own property. When I was growing up, my parents always had a fruit and vegetable garden, so visiting farms always has a nostalgia factor for me and brings me back to age eight.
Many people don't know that I was a vegetarian for seven years, from high school through half of college. I did it out of my love for animals, but toward the end of college I realized that to pursue a writing career in food, I really had to eat meat. And so I do. I eat everything. But I still do love animals, and I had mixed emotions visiting the cattle ranch. However, I do have to say, the meat we prepared that night was possibly the most delicious, flavorful, and beautifully-marbled meat I've ever tried. And that includes countless Kobe and Wagyu steaks consumed over the years.
Perhaps it was the wine at Sunstone Winery, but as soon as we got back to our house, Lindsay and Brenda got into a squabble. Naturally, as Brenda's friend, I had her back.
Adults usually don't take sides especially when they are the hosts as you were. How old are you to "take sides"? That ends in high school. If you were Brenda's friend you would advise her that her negative personality is doing more harm than good and try to encourage her to lighten up, not take her side when she acts like a child.
In this case you all would have had a good time had Brenda not decided to be a drama queen. She was looking for a fight the entire time.
Flirting is fine but there is a time and a place. Reputations are everything in business and you want to keep yours good. So far you haven't done well with your misquotes and facts with your reporting on Waylynn's anniversary and now we see several have the same perception of your behavior problems. Time and a place for everything, incuding flirting otherwise it will wind up bitng you in the butt.
momo2 seriously? she is 30? what 30 year old has hostessing etiquette? my god? have you seen her guests? they take over the master-bedroom? burp in eachothers faces? don't clean up after one another and don't bring gifts? this isn't nantucket lady... its LA!
I have to say that I am a fan of your now because you we're able to hear what Brenda has to say and you moved on from it. Good for you
Seems like there is a page missing from this blog? Us viewers would like to see you eat just a little more humble pie, you seem full of yourself and self-importance when flirting.
I appreciate your comment about Brenda, you did have her back there. I was afraid you would have whatsherface Lindsay's back since she was your guest. I'm still trying to pick my favorites on this show... so far I love all the cast. I have questions about you but I think it's only because you're priorities are on business, more than socializing. I definitely don't fault you for flirting with handsome men you meet in your line of work... what attractive, single girl wouldn't? Especially if work is such a large part of your life as it is yours. I love your ability to make a GREAT first impression, I am taking notes haha
is a page missing or something? abrupt ending...
good on ya for sticking up for your friend. disappointed that waylynn says she hates the drama yet breaks off to sympathize with lindsay. came across as taking sides. hope to see more scenes of you all sticking together and helping each other. this group (sans lindsay) has a lot of potential re that.
Great farm-to-table episode, I'll have to check out the winery! Not quite understanding yet why you aren't calling Brenda out on her inappropriate behavior.
